(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 9 provinces, where at least 26 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Ten Practitioners Arrested

More than 30 officers in Chiping District went to Li Chuanlu’s home at 9 p.m. on August 12, 2022. They arrested ten practitioners including Ms. Xu Guiying, Mr. Wang Chengguo, Ms. Shang Sufang, Mr. Qi Zibo, Mr. Qi Yijun, Ms. Li Yulian, Ms. Li Jinfeng, Zhang Linlin, Lu Jinyu, and Li Chuanlu. The police ransacked Li Chuanlu’s home. They confiscated three boxes of truth-clarifying materials, more than 200 Falun Gong books, and about 30,000 yuan in paper bills imprinted with information about Falun Gong. The police then went to Mr. Wang Chengguo’s home and confiscated two printers, two laptop computers, two plastic sealing machines, and more than 100 Falun Gong books. 

2. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Case Against Ms. Li Dongju Submitted to the Procuratorate

Ms. Li Dongju from the Gaoxin District was arrested on the morning of July 12, 2022 and has been detained in a detention center since then. Her case was submitted to the procuratorate around August 12, 2022. 

3. [Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Li Chaoqun and Her Daughter Ms. Zhang Yixin Arrested 

Eight officers from the Gangkou Police Station in Chaisang District and the Chaisang District Police Department went to Ms. Li Chaoqun’s home at 11 a.m. on August 12, 2022. They arrested Ms. Li Chaoqun and her daughter Ms. Zhang Yixin and ransacked their home. They confiscated a few thousand yuan in paper bills imprinted with information about Falun Gong, truth-clarifying materials, a computer, printer, and other items. The two practitioners are currently detained in the Jiujiang City Detention Center.

4. [Laiyang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Lin Arrested

Ms. Wang Lin lives in Dongshigezhuang Village, Tuanwang Town. She was arrested on her way to her workplace in Laiyang City on August 13, 2022. Her home was ransacked. Her computer and printer were confiscated.

5. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Xiao Ma Arrested

Xiao Ma was arrested by officers from the Puyang Police Station on the afternoon of August 9, 2022.

6. [Beijing] Ms. Geng Shuyuan and Ms. Zhang Aijuan Harassed

Ms. Geng Shuyuan, 81, from the Pinggu District, received a harassing call from the Pinggu District Forestry Bureau in June 2022, asking whether she still practiced Falun Gong. Several people went to her home a few days later and pressured her to sign a guarantee statement, which she refused. Later, two officers from the Binhe Police Station came to her home. They wore body cameras and videotaped the interior of her home.

Ms. Zhang Aijuan received harassing phone calls from the Chengpingyuan Neighborhood Committee in Pinggu District at the end of June and in early August 2022. 

7. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Xu Ying Detained

Ms. Xu Ying from Hailin City received a call and was summoned to the Domestic Security Division. When she went there she was not allowed to leave and was taken to the Zirong Police Station. Her family was informed the next day that she was under criminal detention and was detained in the Mudanjiang City Detention Center.

8. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Meng Fanzeng Detained in a Brainwashing Center

Police took Mr. Meng Fanzeng from the Sartu District to a brainwashing center located in Zhonglin Street in the Dong’an District on August 11 or 12, 2022. Mr. Meng refused to answer any questions or sign any documents. He has been on bail pending trial. 

9. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhang Ming Arrested and Detained

Mr. Zhang Ming, 64, was followed and arrested by officers from the Zhanqian Police Station around August 10, 2022. His home was ransacked. His personal belongings were confiscated including his Falun Gong books, cash, and other items. He is currently detained in the Jingu Detention Center.

10. [Yiwu City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Wang Haixia Arrested

Ms. Wang Haixia was arrested at the Yiwu Train Station on the morning of June 13, 2022 just after she got off the train. She was taken to the Choucheng Police Station. She was body searched. The police confiscated 50 yuan in paper bills imprinted with information about Falun Gong, and a media player. She was released later that day. 

11. [Xifeng City, Gansu Province] Ms. Wang Shuping Arrested

Ms. Wang Shuping from the Wenquan Township was arrested on August 7 or 8, 2022. It is unknown where she is detained. Now her mother, in her 80s, has no one to care for her.

12. [Chongqing] Mr. Li Liangduan on Wanted List

Mr. Li Liangduan, nearly 60, is a demobilized soldier and lives in Hengdian New Village, Fulong Town, Dazu District. He was subjected to forced labor twice and two jail sentences. 

Mr. Li was arrested by officers from the Youting Police Station and the Longshui Police Station in May 2022 for distributing truth-clarifying materials. His home was ransacked. He was detained for one day and released. 

Mr. Li is now on the wanted list. The police went to his home to search for him. The armed officers went to his son’s store to look for him. They threatened to shoot anyone who refused to cooperate. 

13. [Dingzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Ma Yu’ai Arrested and Detained

Ms. Ma Yu’ai lives in Lvjiazhuang Village, Haotouzhuang Township. She was arrested at her home by officers from the Dingningdian Police Station and the Haotouzhuang Police Station at noon on August 12, 2022. She is currently detained in the Dingzhou Detention House.

14. [Mishan City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Yang Xiaoguang Arrested

Mr. Yang Xiaoguang was reported to police for talking about Falun Gong in a bus station and was arrested by three officers from the No. 1 Police Station at 9 a.m., August 12, 2022. His home was ransacked by four officers and his Falun Gong books were confiscated. He was released that afternoon.

15. [Yangquan City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Cheng Guifang Arrested and Detained

Ms. Cheng Guifang was taken to a brainwashing center on June 29, 2022. She managed to leave there but the police arrested her on South Street. She was taken to a detention center and her home was ransacked.
