The Blind and Visually Impaired Can See Again (Part II) – Stories about Falun Dafa’s Healing Power

(Minghui.org) People may lose all or part of their eyesight due to various diseases such as cataracts, retinal detachment, diabetes and glaucoma. Although most of the conditions are irreversible and incurable, over 300 cases have been documented by Minghui.org of blind or visually impaired people recovering from various eye diseases after practicing Falun Dafa, an ancient spiritual and meditation discipline.

Below are several such recovery stories.

Journalist: From Nearly Blind to Seeing Again

Phuong is a young Vietnamese journalist. She was diagnosed with tuberculosis a few years ago and had to take high doses of antibiotics. The side effects damaged her hearing, kidney and liver. She also struggled with chronic sinusitis, low blood pressure and insomnia.

Furthermore, her vision was getting worse and she became color-blind. Gradually everything became blurry.

She went to different hospitals and had numerous examinations. But no doctors could figure out what caused her condition. Finally a top-ranking doctor at the National Eye Institute told her that she had a rare and as yet unspecified disease that would eventually lead to blindness. She couldn’t be cured even with the assistance of the best medical team.

Thinking that she would become a burden for her family, she lost the courage to live. But she couldn’t commit suicide as she is the only surviving child of her parents, after her old brother had passed away.

Just when she was desperate, a colleague introduced Falun Dafa to her and gave her a copy of Zhuan Falun, the main book of Falun Dafa. The colleague told her that the book may help her with her vision. At that time she was unable to read at all. So she asked her father to read the book to her. After finishing the book, she understood that everything has a reason and one is repaying a debt when suffering from a disease or other mishaps.

Not long after, she was able to see again! When she picked up Zhuan Falun to read, she was surprised to find that the words in the book were no longer blurry. She saw every word clearly. She couldn’t believe such a miracle had happened to her.

She said, “I am blown away by the miracle of Falun Dafa. I am so happy that my eyesight has been restored. I will start a new life and live by Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Zhuan Falun is the starting point of my new life.”

She joined the group exercises at a nearby park. Her health quickly improved and soon all her illnesses were gone. She said, “When I am practicing the five sets of exercises, I feel my body as light as a feather. I am energetic and all my illnesses have disappeared.”

She said, “I am still scared whenever I think about what could become of me if I didn’t take up Dafa. Currently I am living the life I once dreamed of. I am grateful that I have found such a great way that renewed my life.”

Woman Blind for Decades, Sees Again

Ms. Di Guifang, 66, lost her eyesight in 1987. She visited several major hospitals and was found to have pupil adhesion, cataracts and vitreous degeneration. All the doctors said they couldn’t cure her.

Ms. Di learned Falun Dafa in 1996 and depended on her daughter to bring her to the exercise site. However, after the persecution of Falun Gong started in July 1999, there was no longer exercise sites in public. So she could barely study the Fa and do the exercises. Her husband only helped her when he was in a good mood.

In June 2013, a fellow practitioner asked if she would like to come to her home to study the Fa, and she immediately agreed. The fellow practitioner lives not far away, and thus Ms. Di was able to get there by herself.

One day around midnight on September 22, 2013, when she was walking out of the restroom at home, she suddenly saw light and it dazzled her. Then she saw windows, doors, and the sofa. She woke up her husband and told him. He was excited and said in his shaking voice, “Falun Dafa is really good!” She was too excited to sleep. She had no words to express her gratitude to Master but kept saying in her heart, “Thank you Master! Falun Dafa is good!”

The next morning, her husband told her to check the calendar, but Ms. Di wanted to read Falun Dafa books first. When she opened the book, she saw Master’s picture. She said, “Master, I can see you now! Thank you for your compassion!”

Programmer Who Once Suffered Glaucoma Has Vision Restored

Mr. Kuki Szabolcs is a computer programmer in Romania. In 2011 during a routine eye exam, he told the doctor that he had glaucoma eight yeas ago. The doctor was surprised. After checking carefully, the doctor said that must have been a misdiagnosis because people who have had glaucoma have scars in their eyes.

Kuki simply smiled and didn’t argue with the doctor. He knows clearly what he suffered and what helped him regain health.

Kuki enjoyed working at his computer around the clock. Back in 2003, he realized that his vision was getting worse quickly. His doctor diagnosed him with glaucoma, and said that the intraocular pressure in his eyes was high. He was told that he may become blind in two years. With poor vision, he had no way to work, yet his family still had to depend on his earnings every month to pay bills.

He visited doctors everywhere, looking for a means of treatment. In the city where he lived, he saw over ten doctors, and also traveled to the capital city to see more. He even went abroad to seek medical treatment. However, no doctor knew how to cure his condition.

Under enormous pressure, he was nervous and apprehensive. He started to try qigong and yoga, as well as meditation. He felt that meditation could alleviate the intraocular pressure, but he said that he didn’t understand what the yoga books meant.

Finally, a friend recommended Falun Dafa to him. It excited him to learn that Falun Dafa has a set of meditative exercises and teaches the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance.

After he finished reading Zhuan Falun, he said, “This opened up the whole new world to me. All the possibilities unfolded before my eyes. This is true science.”

Since then, his eyesight slowly improved and his vision gradually returned to normal.
