(Minghui.org) According to the Chinese lunar calendar, each year is separated by 24 solar terms and the past Sunday (August 7) was the 13th term, li qiu (beginning of autumn), which usually signals the time when everything has reached its peak and headed for decline. Coincidentally, four days before that, the number of Chinese people (both inside and outside of China) who had renounced membership in the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its two junior organizations, namely, Youth League and Young Pioneer), reached 400 million.
The CCP has been harming China for decades and many people are wondering when it would collapse. Since the book titled Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party was published in November 2004, people have been quitting the CCP organizations, from hundreds to thousands, and from 100 million, 200 million, to 400 million right now. The downfall of the CCP is just a matter of time.
In Zhangbu Scenic Area of Guizhou Province, a boulder was discovered 20 years ago in June 2002. Several Chinese characters were engraved on the boulder, “The Chinese Communist Party [will] perish.”
Experts from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences examined the boulder, and found it had a history of 270 million years. In addition, those characters were formed by nature, not hand-carving. Nearly 100 news media outlets in China, including the CCP mouthpiece CCTV (China Central Television) reported this discovery, although they only mentioned the words “The Chinese Communist Party.” Nonetheless, the boulder does not lie and the last Chinese character “perish” is indeed there and also appeared in the picture on the scenic area’s admission tickets.
In order to prevent people from seeing the word “perish,” the CCP recently covered up the word, which reminds us of the folklore of “When the Lion's Eyes Turn Red.”
Once upon a time there was a village whose residents were morally corrupt like the biblical cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. The divine intended to destroy everyone except for one woman, who remained kind, helpful, and reverent. Bodhisattva visited the village in disguise as a beggar in rags, who was humiliated and even beaten by ruffians. But no one stopped them or helped the beggar except the old woman.
Helping the beggar into her own place, the woman took good care of her and offered her food. Bodhisattva then changed back to her true appearance and told the old woman a catastrophe would come and the village would be ruined. When the eyes of the stone lion in front of the temple turned red, she said, it was time to flee.
With a kind heart, the woman thanked Bodhisattva and eagerly shared the warning with everyone she met. But hardly anyone believed her and they even laughed at her. Late on, a young man wanted to make fun of her and painted the red lion’s eyes red. As the woman saw it and fled to a high place while calling others to do the same, very few listened to her. Soon afterward, the village was struck with a flood, with many of the villagers perishing.
Throughout history and across cultures, it has been shown that when people became morally corrupt, they would face danger or consequences. The divine would give hints to those who were still good so that they could stay safe and sound. The above stone lion story, as well as the story of Sodom and Gomorrah in the West, demonstrated this principle.
In today’s society, the CCP is the worst human rights perpetrator in the world. Inheriting Red Terror from the former Soviet Union, the CCP regime slaughtered landlords during its Land Reform, killed business owners for their assets, and attacked intellectuals ruthlessly until they dared not raise voices different from the CCP's. All these happened in the 1950s, shortly after the CCP took power in 1949.
After over 45 million people died in the Great Famine (1959–1961), the regime systematically destroyed traditional Chinese culture in the notorious Cultural Revolution (1966–1976). If that was not enough, it continued to suppress the democratic movement with the Tiananmen Massacre in 1989 and innocent Falun Gong practitioners starting from 1999.
Looking back these few decades, the CCP has a track record of killing different groups of people that it deemed to be enemies. This is no surprise, given the CCP’s core ideology of class struggle and brutality. Mao Zedong once said, “Battling with heaven is endless joy, fighting with the earth is endless joy, and struggling with humanity is endless joy.” In addition, the CCP also made up lies during these political campaigns to deceive the public and turn them into its accomplices to target its enemies. It was especially the case during the persecution of Falun Gong, with everyone in society, from ordinary citizens to officials brainwashed and turned against Falun Gong practitioners and their principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
That is why Falun Gong practitioners across China have been working tirelessly in the past 23 years to raise awareness of the persecution and counter the hate propaganda from the CCP. They have been spreading the truth in remote villages, bustling cities, construction sites, and government buildings, at the risk of being arrested, detained, tortured, or even killed for their organs. They use their own money to produce truth-clarification materials in order to awaken people to the deceit and atrocities of the CCP.
They are doing so because they know if the CCP has been deceiving people and killing innocent lives in the past, things can only get worse if the general public acquiesces to it and remains indifferent. Furthermore, if people choose to remain silent in the face of the persecution or join the CCP during the suppression of the traditional values or common good, there would be dire consequences.
Some people think that the persecution has nothing to do with them because they do not practice Falun Gong. But when freedom of belief is deprived, and when basic human rights are trampled, there is no safe place in China, as the bystanders could well become the next target as in past political campaigns.
When the Winter Olympics Games were held in Beijing in February 2022, the news of a “woman in chains” broke out in Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province. The victim had been kidnapped and sold as a sex slave. In March, the authorities locked down Shanghai in its attempt to achieve zero-Covid, leaving many people dead with no access to food supplies or medical help. In June, four young women were beaten by another group of patrons in a restaurant in Tangshan, Hebei Province. Instead of seeking justice for the victims, the authorities protected the attackers. This incident exposed the collusion between officials and organized crime. In July, the Henan banking crisis occurred, with 40 billion yuan ($6 billion) in deposits disappearing from some rural banks in Henan Province. This scandal further showed the fraudulence and corruption of the CCP system.
The worst part of these tragedies was how the CCP officials covered them up and punished those who leaked the news.
The list is nearly endless. So whose fault is it? It is true that the CCP caused the chaos. When the regime is one day held accountable for its crimes, tens of millions of CCP members would be brought to justice too. Take the CCP’s crimes against Falun Gong practitioners as an example, they include genocide, religious persecution, torture, forced organ harvesting, and many more. All these are felonies and participants would face serious consequences like Holocaust perpetrators. They cannot escape justice by saying they were “just following orders.”
Similar things happened after communism dissolved in Eastern Europe. Many countries such as the Czech Republic, Poland, and Germany passed laws to pursue the secret police, informants, and their accomplices. Over 300,000 people were investigated in the Czech Republic. Among them, 15,000 informants and accomplices were forbidden to serve as public employees for five years. In Poland, nearly 700,000 people were required to report to authorities whether they had provided information to the secret police. Those who refused or lied were prohibited from serving as public employees too. In East Germany, half of the judges and prosecutors were removed from their office with 42,000 government officials terminated from their positions.
That is why it is a major milestone for 400 million people to quit the CCP organizations. By separating themselves from the Party, they would be able to live with dignity instead of bowing to the totalitarian regime and working as accomplices to harm the innocent. As more people around the world are rejecting the CCP, the day will come sooner for us to live in a safe, communism-free society.
