1. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Ms. Tang Lijuan Faces Trial

More than 20 police officers surrounded Ms. Tang Lijuan’s home in Changzheng Garden Community, Tianxin District on June 12, 2022. Three of them entered it. They ransacked her home and took her to the police station. Ms. Tang, over 70, developed sickness symptoms and was taken to the Dongxiesheng Hospital. She is still there and is watched by the police. The case against her has recently been submitted to the court. She will soon be tried in court.

2. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Three Family Members Arrested and Detained

Ms. Ji Qingzhu from the Licang District was reported to police after she talked to a person on the street about withdrawing from the CCP in August 2022. That person agreed to withdraw from the CCP but reported her using a video clip. The police in Licang District have started to look for her.

Ms. Ji and and her daughter were arrested by several police officers when they went to a farmers market on December 10, 2022. Her daughter was shoved to the ground, handcuffed, and then put in a police car. Ms. Ji and her daughter were taken to the Jiushui Road Police Station.

At the same time, Mr. Zhang Dinggang was arrested by several officers downstairs at his apartment building. The police ransacked his home and confiscated more than 30 Falun Gong books, a photo of Falun Gong’s founder, printer, computer, etc. Mr. Zhang was taken to the Jiushui Road Police Station as well.

Ms. Ji and her daughter were detained for five days and were released on December 14, 2022. Mr. Zhang was detained nine days and was released on December 18, 2022. Their confiscated personal belongings have not been returned, including a car, cell phones, house keys, bank cards, ID cards, driver’s license, driving permit, etc.

3. [Anlu City, Hubei Province] Ms. Wei Zhen and Ms. Huang Arrested

Ms. Wei Zhen was reported to police for talking to people about Falun Gong and was arrested by officers from the Fucheng Police Station on the morning of December 6, 2022. Her situation is unknown.

A group of police officers including Huang Yajun, head of the Fucheng Police Station, went to Ms. Huang’s home on the afternoon of December 6, 2022. They ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books, truth-clarifying materials, computer, and several thousand yuan imprinted with Falun Gong facts. Ms. Huang, who is in her 80s, was taken to the police department for interrogation. She was released that evening.

4. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Yang Yuzhi Arrested

Ms. Yang Yuzhi was arrested when talking to people about Falun Gong on December 9, 2022. She was released that evening. She is now placed under 15-day detention.

5. [Suihua City, Heilongjiang Province] Liu Min and Yang Zhenlin Arrested

Liu Min and Yang Zhenlin (genders are unknown) were arrested in Lanxi County on the evening of December 5, 2022. They were released on the afternoon of January 6, 2023.

6. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Guo Yazhi Arrested

Ms. Guo Yazhi was arrested by plainclothes officers, including Li Qunchao, from the Shunhua Road Police Station on October 14, 2022 for talking to people about Falun Gong. Her home was ransacked. After her husband paid 10,000 yuan, Ms. Guo was released on bail pending trial around midnight.

7. [Meishan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Guo Yurong Released on Bail Pending Trial

Ms. Guo Yurong’s family received a call from the police department on November 18, 2022, informing them that she was allowed to go home on bail pending trial.

8. [Beijing] Ms. Xia Chunfeng Under Surveillance

Ms. Xia Chunfeng was monitored and followed by local community staff from December 5 to 7, 2022, when Jiang Zemin died.

9. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Yu Zhen Sentenced to Prison

Yu Zhen (gender unknown) from Qilu Petrochemical Co., Ltd., was sentenced to three and a half years in prison at the end of October 2022. Her whereabouts are unknown.
