(Minghui.org) After the communist regime lifted all COVID restrictions last December, I clarifed the truth to people face to face on the street.
I am anxious to save people and have been paying more attention to how I do it, and using more wisdom in the process. The changing cosmic climate is bringing more opportunities to reach different groups of people, and I have been able to speak with many of them and persuade them to quit the Chinese Communist Party.
I jotted down a diary in December and would like to share my experiences with other practitioners, hoping to encourage others to pick up the pace in saving sentient beings.
It is not easy for all of us to arrive at this day in the Fa-rectification period. With the mission of saving people on our shoulders, we have to do even better to meet the expectations of the sentient beings who are eagerly waiting for us. Master will help us as long as we have the desire to save people, and act upon that desire.
It’s chilly today! As soon as I left my house, I could feel the icy cold wind through my down jacket. There were only a few pedestrians on the street rushing about, either buying medicine or stocking up on household items. Most of the stores were closed since the store owners and their staff had all tested positive for COVID.
Previously, people were driven stir-crazy under the draconian zero-COVID policy. But after the sudden release, people felt insecure and hopeless. Antipyretics and antibiotics were in short supply due to all the people testing positive for COVID, while hospitals were overcrowded and understaffed, with many doctors testing positive as well. Ironically, the COVID testing booths that had been put up a few months prior all became illegal structures. People weren’t walking in straight lines, as they were dodging anyone they saw coming down the street as if the other people were the virus itself.
I met an elderly woman and talked to her about Dafa. But her hearing was not very good and she could not hear me even when I spoke very loudly. So I had to hold onto her shoulder and shout into her ear. She also put her arm around me and asked a few questions, but fortunately, she understood everything I told her in the end.
Again, there were hardly any people on the road. People turned their backs on each other, and kept a distance from each other. Some people ignored me when I tried to start a conversation.
When I approached one young woman, she whispered to me, “I am a person with morals. I have to tell you, I tested positive and have a fever. Taking medicine didn’t work for me. You’d better stay away from me.”
I said, “None of us should be afraid. Let me tell you a solution that’s better than medicine.”
I moved closer to her and walked with her for two blocks. She learned the truth and the auspicious phrases, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,” and said her goodbyes to me in a good mood.
There were fewer subway trains running these days, and the time between trains was at least 20 minutes, sometimes 40 minutes. When I saw a man at the platform, I used this time to clarify the facts of Dafa to him.
He said, “I used to be prejudiced about you guys. I thought that you guys always forced your ideas on people, and thought that you shouldn’t go around talking to people like that, even if what you said was true. However, after seeing what happened in Hong Kong and Xinjiang, and after going overseas, I began to pay more attention to what you said. I sensed the kindness from you guys and now know you have been telling the truth.”
He asked a few more questions and accepted a flash drive with truth-clarifying information. He kept thanking me, again and again.
Such encounters always encourage me to keep going out. I realized that the pandemic is a test of whether we fear the virus or truly believe in Dafa. It is part of the process of true cultivation. Though my heart would waver at times and I wouldn’t be able to keep calm, my righteous thoughts dominated in the end, and propelled me to go out and save people.
I walked quickly to catch a man who was wearing a down jacket that wasn’t zipped up.
I said loudly to him, “Be careful and keep warm! There is no medicine if you catch a cold at this time!”
He said that he was not cold and crossed the street to avoid me. I felt sorry for not being able to catch up with him. But after some time, I saw him walking behind me again. I went up to talk to him and clarified the facts to him.
He was excited to learn the truth. He told me that he was a CCP member, and he happily renounced his membership. He told me that what I said reminded him of the sentence his mother told him when he was little, “Good people will be rewarded.”
I saw a couple waiting for the metro together on the platform. I thought that it would be nice to talk to them both at the same time to save some energy. However, the lady walked away right after that. I sensed that it was my selfish thought that drove the lady to walk away.
So I talked to the husband first. He shared an appreciation for traditional culture, and the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and immediately agreed to quit the CCP.
I then walked up to his wife and spoke with her too. She had family members who believed in Buddhism, and easily accepted the facts. She thanked me from the bottom of her heart.
In the park, many people immediately stepped off the path when they saw someone coming from the opposite direction, ever-vigilant about keeping a distance away from others.
But I saw an elderly woman who was rather relaxed. I said to her, “People rarely come out and talk to others now. You are so calm and have a good mentality.”
She said, “Everyone has his or her own destiny. I tested positive for COVID but my symptoms were light. My granddaughter has it worse than me.”
I responded, “People of our ages still believe in traditional culture and know that what goes around comes around. Your mentality is the best immunity.”
I then told her the facts of Dafa, and she readily accepted them.
When I was about to leave the house, my family asked if I wanted to wear an N-95 mask. I said no because the N-95 mask is tight and would muffle my voice. Today, I decided to go to the crowded places.
I saw one woman by herself at a bus stop and walked toward her. She did not avoid me. I said to her, “It’s okay, you don’t have to be afraid.”
She said, “I’m not afraid of you, I’m already positive for COVID.”
I hesitated for a moment and continued to approach her. She continued, “I've been positive for two days.”
I faltered a bit since I could clearly see her breath flowing toward me in the wind. I regretted not wearing an N95 mask.
But I immediately eliminated that thought and reminded myself about urgency of saving people. I began to clarify the facts to her. She understood some of the information and agreed to withdraw from the CCP and its affiliates. However, she then became confused and brought up some excuses for the CCP’s evil deeds. Unfortunately, I was unable to clear up her misunderstandings after a lengthy talk.
At the entrance of a construction site, a young security guard was standing on the street as if waiting for me to tell him the truth. He listened to me attentively and was happy to quit the CCP.
An elderly man walked toward me with a smile. After we passed each other, I turned around and saw him turning around as well, still smiling at me. I quickly caught up with him and clarified the facts to him. He was overjoyed to withdraw from the CCP, beaming from ear to ear like a child.
At one intersection, I saw three practitioners handing out calendars with Dafa information. I sensed their compassion, selflessness, and righteousness.
It was a gloomy day today. There were fewer people on the streets and they were markedly more sensitive about avoiding other people. I thought about going back home to do more Fa study. I slowed down, but in the end, I didn’t stop. I knew that I should keep going.
A woman walked by me, clearly trying to keep her distance from me. I followed her and initiated a conversation. When I said that there was no need to be too nervous as everything had its own destiny, she said that she believed me.
I continued, “Such a big pandemic, of course, also has its reason for existence. The plagues in the past have always targeted certain kinds of people.”
She agreed. To put her at ease, I kept a distance between us while walking and clarifying the truth to her. She understood what I said, and we parted in good spirits.
Later, another woman walked toward me, with her mask below her nose. I greeted her. She walked up to me and pulled off her mask, “This thing is suffocating me.”
She took the initiative to chat with me about her family affairs. I walked with her, listening to and responding from time to time. I found opportunities to clarify the truth to her and she understood. I wished her luck and reminded her to remember the auspicious phrases. She thanked me and said goodbye.
I know that under pandemic conditions, people are more nervous and anxious. It is a luxury to be able to talk to people, so even being kind and understanding at this time is also a sign of compassion.
After walking for almost two hours, I had a bad thought... all the people I spoke with today were infected with COVID.
As soon as the thought surfaced, I began to feel dizzy and uncomfortable; my feet felt heavy, and my mouth felt dry. I rejected the thoughts that told me to go home, and I regarded all these sensations as illusions. The pandemic had no business with me. Instead, it gives practitioners an opportunity to save people, and the virus does not even exist in the same space as I do.
All of the negative thoughts then disappeared.
It was colder today. My legs were almost frozen. There were even fewer people out today.
I saw a person at the bus stop across the street. I had difficulty moving my feet, but I finally managed to walk over. Before I reached the stop, the person—a young woman—walked out and looked at me. I immediately chatted with her and told her the facts of Dafa. She had tears in her eyes after listening, and kept thanking me.
Then I met a young man. While I was telling the truth to him, he took off his mask and coughed. But my heart did not move and continued talking with him.
I felt chilled to the core. My mask became frozen and hard, and my body stiffened. I went home an hour earlier than usual, just in time to make dumplings for my family to celebrate the winter solstice.
My family members are not practitioners, but they know the facts of Dafa. However, in the environment of the CCP’s lies, they didn’t have access to the real news, and often became confused as to what was really happening in society. I always had to update them with the true facts.
In the past few days, I got many calls from relatives, friends, and other practitioners who have tested positive for COVID. One of them complimented me since I have not tested positive yet, and was able to keep a clear mind about the difference between practitioners and ordinary people.
My heart was calm, without the attachments of showing off or zealotry. It was a calmness that could only stem from Dafa. I must do well to validate the supernormal nature of Dafa.
Saving people in this chaotic time period is also a process of true cultivation. I often find myself lacking in righteous thoughts, compassion, or wisdom, and sometimes I also sought comfort. Yet, our cultivation state is what will decide if we can save people. Whether I can go out or spend more time saving people, is all related to my cultivation. I see my gaps and want to catch up.
When I read some practitioners’ sharing articles about persuading dozens or hundreds of people to quit the CCP in a day, I used to question it and had doubts about the quality of their work. Now I know that these sharing articles were true and practitioners’ abilities were cultivated from Dafa. The power of compassion that practitioners wield is enormous, for it is the power of Dafa.
