(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 6 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 8 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Meng Fanzeng Faces Trial
2. [Zunhua City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Lianhua Arrested, Ms. Chang Guihua Detained
3. [Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Zhang Rongzhen Sentenced
4. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhang Ailing Detained
5. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Mr. Fu Xinhua Arrested
6. [Guanghan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wang Youyu and Ms. Ye Xiufang Detained
1. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Meng Fanzeng Faces Trial
Mr. Meng Fanzeng will be tried on November 13, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the Gaoxin District Court.
2. [Zunhua City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Lianhua Arrested, Ms. Chang Guihua Detained
Ms. Zhang Lianhua and Ms. Chang Guihua were arrested by officers from the Jianming Town Police Station on the afternoon of October 31, 2023. They were taken to a hospital the same day and repeatedly underwent the detention entry physical exam. Both practitioners had high blood pressure. Ms. Zhang’s systolic blood pressure was 200 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure was 120 mmHg. The detention center refused to admit her and she was released that night. Her home was ransacked the next day. Ms. Chang was held in the detention center.
3. [Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Zhang Rongzhen Sentenced
Ms. Zhang Rongzhen lives in the Hantai District. Police notified her family that they would place her on trial on August 7, 2023. But she could not make it because she was admitted to the hospital on August 6.
The court staff called her in October and instructed her to pick up the court ruling. Even though she didn’t attend the trial, she was sentenced to three years in prison and fined 3,000 yuan.
4. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhang Ailing Detained
When Ms. Zhang Ailing talked to people about the persecution of Falun Gong someone reported her to the police. Three officers from the Yujiatou Police Station arrested her in front of her condo on the morning of October 18, 2023. They took her to the police station for interrogation, then to the Wuhan City No. 1 Detention Center, where she was detained for 15 days.
5. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Mr. Fu Xinhua Arrested
Mr. Fu Xinhua was arrested by officer Li Jianren and others from the Beishijiawu Township Police Station on October 29, 2023. The officers took him to the police station for interrogation. One of the questions was where he got the books that they confiscated from his home the last time they ransacked it. He refused to sign the police records and was released that day.
6. [Guanghan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wang Youyu and Ms. Ye Xiufang Detained
Ms. Wang Youyu and Ms. Ye Xiufang distributed desk calendars with Falun Gong messages printed on them to people in the street on October 27, 2023. They were arrested by two Renhe Community securities, Wang Yong and Yin Qingming. They were detained for 10 days in the Hexing Detention Center.
