(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners held a peaceful protest near the Moscone Center where the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit is being held, on the evening of November 14, 2023. They called attention to the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) ongoing 24-year-long persecution of Falun Dafa. They told people about the spiritual discipline and the CCP’s crimes of persecuting practitioners and called on governments of every country to help end these egregious human rights violations.
The APEC Summit is being held in San Francisco from November 11-17, 2023. More than 20,000 APEC economic leaders, ministers, private sector representatives, and other stakeholders from 20 countries are attending the meetings. The world is paying attention to events in San Francisco and more than 2,200 media outlets from around the world have followed the summit and interviewed attendees.
Mr. Wu Junxiang, coordinator of the San Francisco Falun Dafa Association said, “Leaders from over 20 countries are gathered here. This is a very good opportunity for practitioners to raise awareness about the ongoing persecution and to tell them the truth about the CCP’s persecution. We want to tell the whole world that Falun Dafa is good, the world needs Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. The world will be a better place if people abided by these principles. People who adhere to these principles only bring goodness to society.”
He continued, “The CCP’s brutal persecution has been ongoing for 24 years. We want this persecution to end immediately. We will continue to peacefully tell people the truth about the persecution of Falun Dafa. We want them to see the true evil nature of the CCP and help stop the persecution.”
