(Minghui.org) The 2023 Gangshan Mazu International Culture Festival was held in Shoutian Palace in Kaohsiung in the evening of November 4, 2023. The activities were based on the theme of promoting local tourism. The organizer invited the Falun Dafa Tian Guo Marching Band, celestial maidens, the Falun Dafa exercise demonstration team, and the waist drum team to participate in the event. The parade was held in the city of Gangshan, and various food stalls were set up on both sides of the street. The event attracted tens of thousands of people.

Falun Gong Is Worthy of Promotion
Organizer of the event commends Falun Gong
Falun Gong groups have been invited to participate in the event many times. Dai Ching-fu, chairman of Shoutian Palace for 15 consecutive years, said: “It is well known that the Falun Gong group are excellent and guests we must invite each year. Their spirit, sincere attitude, and principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and being considerate are especially commendable.”
“Practicing Falun Dafa can improve health. It is worthy of supporting and promoting. The Falun Gong group are our special guests, and are a symbol of the cultural festival. It is really the glory of Shoutian Palace,” he said.
City Councilor: Falun Dafa Touches Me
Kaohsiung City Councilor Li Ya-hui said she noticed the popularity of Falun Dafa.
City Councilor Li Ya-hui was participating in such a large parade for the first time. “The momentum of the Tian Guo Marching Band was amazing. I was touched. Among all the teams, Falun Dafa won the most applause, showing its popularity,” she said.
Li also said: “This society really needs to be as friendly, harmonious, and compassionate as Falun Dafa. This kind of sincerity, kindness, and forbearance is very important, and it will bring the society peace. I wish to see the Tian Guo Marching Band on many occasions and have more people feel the spirit of Falun Dafa in the world.”

City Councilor Lin Chi-cheng promotes local culture enthusiastically and has participated in the Mazu Cultural Festival many times. “Today’s activity is colorful. In addition to military bands, schools at all levels participate in creative makeup parades. The most eye-catching team is Falun Gong. I was particularly moved,” he said.
“The momentum of the Tian Guo Marching Band moved me. It is a highly professional band. The band performance drew crowds and enriched the entire cultural event. I believe that the Falun Dafa principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance are the highest truth, which will bring a prosperous hope to society, and will also bring peace and stability to society,” he said.
Falun Dafa Is Good
Hsu Chi-shan, Chairman of the Democratic Progress Party Kaohsiung City Branch, also attended the event. He said: “I am moved to see that there are three teams from Falun Gong in the Cultural Festival, and the performances are rich and serious. They are warmly welcomed by the masses. The applause was the greatest. This has changed the bad rumors I heard about Falun Gong before.”
Hsu said: “Seeing is believing, I saw the beauty of Falun Gong today. Falun Gong group is very positive, serious and peaceful; they enthusiastically participate in the promotion of local prosperity activities and resonate with the people. I am deeply moved. I also hope that everyone will encourage them and give them applause.”
Organizer: The More People Practice Falun Dafa, the Better
Li Fang-yi, an organizer of the parade, said: “I have watched so many performance groups today, Falun Gong impressed me the most. Falun Gong stresses self-improvement and being considerate. It is popular in Taiwan. The more people who practice it, the better.” She also encouraged Falun Gong practitioners: “Do the right things and good things, and do them if they benefit society. You’ll be encouraged and welcomed by the public.”
Mr. Wang, a magazine publisher, watched the performances of the Falun Gong teams. “According to the Falun Gong I know, I admire them because they are considerate,” he said. “I wish that all Chinese people can learn and practice it freely. Falun Gong is a spiritual practice. I wish mainland China can recognize the kindness of Falun Gong. On behalf of our magazine publisher, we will always support Falun Gong and hope that more people will benefit from practicing it.”
