(Minghui.org) Practitioners in Arizona recently participated in several events in Phoenix and Scottsdale. They demonstrated the Falun Dafa exercises, distributed fliers, and told visitors about the spiritual practice and the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution. People signed a petition calling for an end to the brutality.
Practitioners also participated in the annual Purple Lotus Production on September 23 and Experience Interfaith on September 28, 2023.
Practitioners also participated in a series of activities organized by the Family Fun Club, including the Harvest Festival in Scottsdale on Saturday, November 18. The sky was clear that day and many residents and their families came out to celebrate the coming holiday season. Many people stopped at the Falun Dafa booth and talked to practitioners to learn more about the practice and the CCP’s persecution. Many signed the petition.
Practitioners introduced Falun Dafa and raised awareness of the CCP’s persecution during the Harvest Festival in Scottsdale.
In 2023, U.S. Congressman Scott Perry proposed the Falun Gong Protection Act (H.R. 4132, Falun Gong Protection Act), which requests the President to impose sanctions on foreigners who assist organ trafficking in China, and requires the State Department to report such trafficking activities to Congress.
During the event, Crystal from Tucson, Arizona, said that she had not previously heard about the CCP’s organ harvesting from living Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) practitioners. A practitioner explained that this is part of the CCP’s 24-year-long persecution, which is the most egregious human rights atrocity in the 21st century. The organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners is similar to mass murder. It is also a serious violation of medical ethics.
After hearing this, Crystal immediately signed the petition and said that she would continue to pay attention to the news about Falun Gong through Minghui.org and the Falun Dafa Information Center websites.
Jennifer and Michael from Phoenix, expressed their hope that the Falun Gong Protection Act will help stop the CCP’s atrocities and protect those who may become victims of organ harvesting.
Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China, in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Millions of people who have embraced the teachings (which are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance) and have learned the five exercises have experienced improved health and well-being.
Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), perceived the spiritual discipline’s growing popularity as a threat to the CCP’s atheistic ideology, and on July 20, 1999, he issued an order to eradicate the practice.
Under Jiang’s personal direction, the CCP established the 610 Office, an extralegal security organization with the power to override the police and judicial systems, and whose sole function is to carry out the persecution of Falun Dafa.
Minghui.org has confirmed the deaths of thousands of practitioners as a result of the persecution over the past 24 years. The actual number is believed to be much higher. Countless practitioners have been imprisoned and tortured for their faith.
There is concrete evidence that the CCP sanctions the harvesting of organs from detained practitioners, who are murdered to supply China’s organ transplant industry.
