(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 10 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Changyi City, Shandong Province] Mr. Miao Shubao and His Wife Ms. Zhang Meijin Sentenced to Prison

3. [Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Han Ximin and His Wife Face Trial
4. [Huazhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Chen Xiulian Arrested and Detained
5. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Xu Changying Arrested and Detained
6. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Chunrong Persecuted
7. [Dazhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Shu Chuanying and Mr. Deng Hai Harassed
8. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Li Yan Arrested and Detained
1. [Changyi City, Shandong Province] Mr. Miao Shubao and His Wife Ms. Zhang Meijin Sentenced to Prison
Mr. Miao Shubao and his wife Ms. Zhang Meijin from Taerbu Community of Beimeng Town, were arrested by officers from the Beimeng Town Police Station and the Changyi City Police Department in June 2023. Mr. Miao and Ms. Zhang were later sentenced to prison for three years and six months, and one year, respectively. They appealed, but the original verdicts were upheld by the intermediate court. Mr. Miao was transferred to the Jinan City Prison. Ms. Zhang was initially held at the Weifang Detention Center, but her whereabouts are unknown after her verdict was upheld by the intermediate court.
2. [Hailin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Xiao Hua Faces Trial
Ms. Xiao Hua was arrested in Dongning City on September 19, 2023. She was placed under official arrest by the Hailin City Procuratorate on September 27, 2023. She was taken to the Mudanjiang City Police Hospital for medical treatment. Ms. Xiao will be tried in court on December 22, 2023.
3. [Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Han Ximin and His Wife Face Trial
Mr. Han Ximin and his wife will be tried in court at 9 a.m. on December 26, 2023.
4. [Huazhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Chen Xiulian Arrested and Detained
Ms. Chen Xiulian was caught on surveillance camera when she distributed truth-clarifying materials, and was arrested on June 1, 2023. She was sent to the Maoming City Detention Center.
5. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Xu Changying Arrested and Detained
Ms. Xu Changying from the Xinzhou District was arrested by officers from the Zhongnan Road Police Station on November 8, 2023 for distributing information about Falun Gong. She was taken to the No. 1 Detention Center of Wuhan City.
6. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Chunrong Persecuted
Ms. Liu Chunrong was arrested by officers from the Binhai Police Department on November 29, 2023 but was released later that evening. Ms. Liu was arrested again on December 7, 2023 and taken to the Jishu Brainwashing Center. She was interrogated about the source of the truth-clarifying materials she had with her.
Ms. Liu showed symptoms of mental instability, and did not eat or sleep. Because of her confused mental state she signed a guarantee statement and was released on December 15, 2023.
7. [Dazhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Shu Chuanying and Mr. Deng Hai Harassed
Ms. Shu Chuanying was harassed at home in Qinglong Town by four officers from the Chengbei Police Station and a community staff member on the morning of December 10, 2023. They took a photo of Ms. Shu.
Three officers from the Chengbei Police Station went to Mr. Deng Hai’s home in Shuguang Village of Qinglong Town on the afternoon of December 10, 2023. Mr. Deng was not there. They took a photo of Mr. Deng’s wife.
8. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Li Yan Arrested and Detained
Ms. Li Yan from Tiefeng District was arrested at home by several officers from the Bukui Police Station at 8 p.m. on May 4, 2023. They ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books, a photo of Falun Gong's founder and other personal belongings. Ms. Li was held for one month in a detention center and was released on bail pending trial.
