(Minghui.org) I am an elementary school teacher. The ten-year-old students in my class started to cultivate Falun Dafa in May 2021. Last April, the students were asked to write about what they thought was the most precious thing in the world. Some wrote about motherly love while others wrote about water or air. However, many of them wrote a short essay about Dafa and how it fills the world with hope. I would like to share some of the students’ heartfelt essays.
Xiao Quan (pseudonym): I think the most precious things in the world are the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Whenever I get upset, I recite, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,” and get better. Master Li Hongzhi has taught us that if the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance did not exist, the world would be in chaos and people would do bad things. I think the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are most precious because I learn a lot of moral principles, which allow me to be calmer. I recite poems from Hong Yin whenever I am in the middle of a conflict. This reduces my stress and allows me to become more peaceful. I think everyone has different views on the most precious thing in the world. Therefore, I think the most precious thing in the world is Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
Xiao Xun (pseudonym): I think the most precious things are the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are moral standards for being a human being. “Truthfulness” means to always speak the truth. “Compassion” means to always hold compassion in one’s heart. “Forbearance” means to tolerate whenever people hit or curse at you. These are the principles that Master has taught us. If everyone abided by these principles and could be more forgiving, the world would become peaceful. Storefronts would not need to lock up and no one would be a pickpocket. Therefore, I think the most most precious thing in this world are the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
Xiao Yu (pseudonym): What do you think the most precious thing is in this world? I think that intangible virtue, or de, is the most precious thing. With de, one can ascend to the heavens. In order to accumulate de, one needs to abide by the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, be a better person, and help others. Everyone needs to be a good person by abiding by the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. We can also endure the pain in our legs during the sitting meditation to enter tranquility. We should not commit wrongdoings since that will create a lot of karma. I think the most precious thing in the world is de. I wish that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) would stop persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners. The CCP will give all its de to those practitioners being persecuted, and the CCP will have to pay for what it has done. I hope everyone can be a good person and adhere to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
Xiao Cheng (pseudonym): I think the most precious thing in the world is the book Zhuan Falun. Zhuan Falun beams in golden light and teaches people to be compassionate. Every Chinese character in the book looks beautiful, and I can’t seem to put the book down. I would get upset and get into conflicts if I did not read Zhuan Falun much. There are a lot of precious things in the world, but I think the precious book Zhuan Falun is the holiest of them all. Though the precious book looks quite ordinary from the outside, many sentient beings from different levels are studying it. Many people are also saved and are able to return to their origin by studying the book. Therefore, this book is very holy. Zhuan Falun is no ordinary book and the meaning behind the text is far beyond that of the human language. I hope everyone can have the opportunity to read this precious book, Zhuan Falun.
Xiao Jia (pseudonym): What do you think the most precious thing in the world is? I think the most precious thing in this world is de, the white substance or virtue. De helps us to overcome tribulations and it makes me more caring and compassionate. De can also help me return to my true and beautiful home. One benefits a lot by having a lot of de. For example, everything one does will go smoothly, one will be healthy, and even have the opportunity to go to heaven. However, if one does not have de, he or she will encounter difficulties. Therefore, the most precious thing in the world is de.
Xiao Liang (pseudonym): The most precious thing for me is something that tests my xinxing. Did you guess correctly? It is the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. In order to assimilate of the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, one needs to improve one’s character, and through meditation one can find inner peace. If these principles did not exist, the world would be so scary. If you are able to assimilate to those principles, you will ascend to Heaven. Therefore, everyone should adhere to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, do more meditation exercises, commit fewer sins, and be a good person. Don’t have evil thoughts or seek revenge. This will only harm oneself in the long run. I hope everyone in the world can keep the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance in their heart. I also wish that the Chinese people can wake up from the lies of the CCP. I think the most precious thing in this world is Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
Xiao Zhen (pseudonym): I think there are many precious things in the world such as water and love. However, the most precious thing is the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Not many people can actually adhere to these principles because people nowadays fight and compete for personal gain and profit. If the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance did not exist and everyone was being fake, evil, and competitive, then wars would break out in the world. The world will become a much more peaceful place with no wars if everyone follows the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance from the bottom of their hearts. Though I cannot change the world on my own, if everyone follows these principles, we can go to a beautiful place. Therefore, I think the most precious thing in the world are the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
Xiao Jun (pseudonym): People oftentimes think that money and water are the most precious things in the world. I think the most precious thing in this world is virtue, or de. No matter how much money one has, de cannot be bought. Only by doing good deeds can we accumulate de; doing bad deeds will result in karma. There are many examples as to how we can do good deeds. For example, helping your classmate take out the garbage and assisting your classmates with their schoolwork. Examples of doing bad deeds are not helping your classmates, or hitting your classmate back twice when he or she hits you once. If I have de, my classmates will respect me. If I do not have de, my classmates will not respect me. Therefore, I should do more good things and less bad things. We should help each other out more often so the world becomes a better place.
Xiao Zhen (pseudonym): I think the most important things in the world are the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. This is because these principles teach people to become better by telling the truth and doing genuine and compassionate things. Adhering to these principles can lead one back to his or her origin. Therefore, I think Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is very important. If people don’t eliminate karma and accumulate de, or virtue, there will be more wars in the world and people will suffer. If people abide by the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, there won’t be any wars and the world would be at peace. I hope everyone can abide by these principles so the world can be at peace. This is what I think the most important thing in the world is.
