(Minghui.org) Practitioners held activities to introduce Falun Dafa and tell people about the ongoing persecution in China in downtown Dublin on January 28, 2023.
It was a cold day and it intermittently drizzled. However, it did not stop passersby who were eager to learn more about Falun Dafa. “Thank you for being here despite the weather and telling us about this,” a young Irish woman said. “What you are doing is very meaningful.” Many people were astounded to learn that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) was violently suppressing a peaceful group and said they would tell their friends and relatives.
Practitioners held activities in Dublin on January 28, 2023 to tell people about the brutal persecution in China.
Kristian signed a petition to end the persecution and said that he’s interested in learning more about Falun Dafa. After a practitioner told him that Falun Dafa teaches one to follow the principles of “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance,” he said, “This sounds amazing.” He also said, “This concerns the whole human race. It has nothing to do with people’s cultural background or where they live.”
Kristian expressed support for practitioners’ efforts to expose the suppression.
Prateek said that he read a media report about how the CCP suppressed Falun Dafa practitioners who follow the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance. He said that because he grew up in a free society, it was hard to believe the extent of the brutality. He kept repeating: “This is terrible, Falun Gong practitioners should not be subject to such suppression.”
Prateek and Kriti support practitioners’ efforts to tell people about the persecution.
Prateek felt that Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are connected with a human’s innate nature and are not restricted to the culture of any country or region. “To me, this is a form of practice as well as a way of life. Whoever wants to follow these principles should be allowed to. No government should use violent means to stop its people from believing in this.”
Henry said that he began paying attention to the deteriorating human rights problem in China under Communist rule decades ago. However he said it was the first time he has heard about the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners. He said that Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are universal human values.
While signing the petition to call for an end to the atrocities, Henry kept apologizing for not speaking out for Falun Dafa practitioners who are brutally tortured and even subject to organ harvesting. “To live with dignity is not a special right, it is a human right.” Henry said he will tell everyone he knows about the persecution. He lowered his head and thought for a while before saying, “As a human, we should contribute to this world to make it what it should be, not simply grieve over its current state.”
Brian and Sarah thought the practitioners’ activity was very meaningful after realizing that they called upon Western people to stop the persecution of practitioners in China.
The Irish couple said they went to China several times on holiday. Every time they visited the country, they noticed the CCP’s control over its people was more stringent than their previous trip. They thought it was because the regime was terrified of Chinese citizens having independent thinking. Consequently they installed surveillance cameras everywhere, causing Chinese people to live in constant fear. They said the CCP was not rational. They destroyed people’s morality, and to uphold their rule, they resort to any bloody means. However, “When the CCP is so scared of what people think, they have failed already.”
Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China, in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Millions of people who have embraced the teachings, which are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and have learned the five exercises, have experienced improved health and well-being.
Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), perceived the spiritual discipline’s growing popularity as a threat to the CCP’s atheistic ideology and on July 20, 1999, he issued an order to eradicate the practice.
Under Jiang’s personal direction, the CCP established the 610 Office, an extralegal security organization with the power to override the police and judicial systems and whose sole function is to carry out the persecution of Falun Dafa.
Minghui.org has confirmed the deaths of thousands of practitioners as a result of the persecution over the past 23 years. The actual number is believed to be much higher. Countless practitioners have been imprisoned and tortured for their faith.
There is concrete evidence that the CCP sanctions the harvesting of organs from detained practitioners, who are murdered to supply China’s organ transplant industry.
