My Daughter-In-Law Received Blessings after Reading Zhuan Falun

(Minghui.org) I’m a 59-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner who lives in the countryside of Hebei Province. I would like to share my experience of learning Falun Dafa and how my daughter-in-law has been blessed.

I got married in 1997. On my wedding day, my tooth started hurting badly. I was hardly able to eat vegetables after that. The pain spread to my chest, stomach, then my lower back later on. Sometimes I couldn’t do any housework because it was so painful. I lost forty pounds and didn’t get better after taking medicine.

One day, three months later, I went to see a dentist in a nearby township and visited my aunt, who lived there. She and some of her friends happened to be studying Falun Dafa. I went with them to study the Fa and do the Falun Dafa exercises. I went back home after my dental work was done.

A few weeks later, my lower back was in great pain. I thought, “Can Master take care of me?” I decided to read the book. However, I couldn’t help falling asleep after reading Zhuan Falun for a while. When I woke up, I was pleasantly surprised that my pain was gone. I felt very comfortable! I thought in excitement, “I have Master! Falun Dafa is amazing!”

Ever since then, I’ve strongly believed in Falun Dafa and have persisted in studying the Fa and doing the exercises, no matter how busy my days are. I follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance as Master teaches us. I can feel that Master is with me and continues to purify my body, and urges me to cultivate diligently.

A sharp pain in my stomach woke me up one night. I cried, “Master! Master!” I clearly felt that Master had started working on my stomach. The pain stopped after a while. Ever since then, my stomach hasn’t hurt again, and all my other pains went away. I haven’t taken any medicine in the past twenty-five years.

My son and daughter-in-law were introduced to each other by a mutual friend. They were dating and things went well until her mother found out that I practiced Falun Dafa. Having been influenced by the Chinese Communist Party’s lies about Dafa, her mother told my daughter-in-law to stop dating my son.

I initially thought I should follow the course of nature as a cultivator, but while looking within, I found that I was hesitant to clarify the truth to people in their village because I was worried about her mother’s resistance. I thought, “She has stopped them from dating anyway. I have nothing to fear. I’ll do what a cultivator should do.”

After I stopped worrying, my son and my daughter-in-law starting contacting each other again. Despite her mother’s objection, the rest of her family was supportive. They got engaged, and later married.

My Daughter-In-Law’s Depression Vanishes

My daughter-in-law came down with depression a couple of months after giving birth to her baby. She also had serious insomnia. A local doctor told her, “Medicine doesn’t work too well. Even if you go get medical help in Beijing, it will take several years to get well.”

My son worked in another city. My daughter-in-law was afraid of sleeping by herself at night. I kept her company and took care of her. She told me, “I’ll never forget what you have done for me!” I said, “Only Falun Dafa’s master can help you. You may repeat, ‘Falun Dafa is great, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is great.’” She replied, “My mom doesn’t believe it. I have promised her not to.” I told her that I wouldn’t force her to do anything against her will.

My daughter-in-law struggled every day. She told me that she always thought of committing suicide. I told her, “Don’t! Committing suicide is also killing. It’s not your own wish to die. It’s an evil spirit. Don’t listen to it. Master can help you if you repeat the Falun Dafa phrases I told you. If you can’t sleep at night, you may read Dafa books. Master will take care of you.”

She heard about positive energy from the Internet. I told her that Dafa was the most positive energy. She watched a Shen Yun performance DVD that I shared with her. One day, she asked me for Zhuan Falun. After reading the book, she got better and better and mostly recovered when my granddaughter was five months old, except she was afraid of hearing if anyone she knew died. After some time, she completely recovered and got rid of her fear.

Having personally experienced the benefits of Falun Dafa, my daughter-in-law changed her view of the practice for the better.

An Unexpected Job

My son and my daughter-in-law later had a baby boy. Once their son was old enough to start kindergarten, my daughter-in-law wanted to find a job. She told me one day that she would go apply for a job. I said, “I won’t be able to take care of two kids by myself.” She said she planned to send my granddaughter to kindergarten and pick her up after work. I was worried it would be too late by the time they got back home.

My second thought was that I shouldn’t be attached to myself as a cultivator and that I should leave it up to Master’s arrangement. The next day, my daughter-in-law was unexpectedly hired on the spot as a kindergarten teacher. She told me that the position she intended to apply for didn’t work out because the boss wasn’t there, but a kindergarten teacher happened to leave that day. I was grateful for Master’s arrangement!

Becoming a Teacher at Private School

After working at the kindergarten for a couple of years, my daughter-in-law built up some experience. That summer my granddaughter was about to enter elementary school, so my daughter-in-law applied for a job at a private school. My son and I didn’t think it was a good idea, but she had already applied. I thought I should let go of my own idea and leave it up to Master.

My daughter-in-law was asked to sing a song and recite a poem during her interview. She said she didn’t know any. They asked her to teach a class. She did it in a relaxed manner, thinking that she didn’t have to get the job. However, she was the one they hired among thirty applicants. Some of them have Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. Her salary tripled. She told her colleague at the kindergarten, “I didn’t expect to get it. It’s incredible!”

Declining a Gift of Money

The private school is a boarding school, and some parents give teachers generous gifts. A parent sent my daughter-in-law three hundred yuan to pay for her cell phone, but she instead put the three hundred yuan in that student’s lunch account. Another parent insisted on giving my daughter-in-law a shopping card; she tried to give it back, but couldn’t. She asked me what to do. I told her to give it back, so she put the same amount in the student’s lunch account.

Passing the Test for a Teacher’s Certificate

My daughter-in-law had started testing for a teacher’s certificate before she was employed at the private school and passed one subject test. She continued with the second. Out of the four who tried, only two passed, and she was one of them. Additionally, she was the only one who passed the third subject test.

She told me, “I’m so lucky!” I said, “It’s because you are supportive of Falun Dafa. You have been blessed!”
