(Minghui.org) As a Falun Dafa practitioner, to celebrate the 2023 World Falun Dafa Day, I would like to share my personal experience regarding three of my work supervisors who have each been blessed, as they have refused to participate in the persecution.
First Supervisor Refused to Force Me to Give up My Faith
Falun Dafa is a traditional Chinese spiritual discipline for mind and body which has been persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) since 1999. Out of fear of the CCP’s obscene power, my father-in-law privately approached my supervisor and asked him to pressure me to give up my faith. But my supervisor sternly refused. When the higher authorities learned that I was practicing Falun Dafa, they also requested that my supervisor pressure me. And he also refused.
He said, “Whether she practices Falun Dafa or not is her personal freedom of belief, and I, as her supervisor, am only responsible for her work in the workplace. She is kind and does her job perfectly well, and she gets along with her colleagues. I have no right to interfere with her belief.”
Since then I have never suffered any further pressure or harassment from my family or workplace, even during the most frantic periods of the persecution.
Five years later when he reached retirement age, he moved to Beijing. His son and daughter each have well-paying jobs in Beijing and live happy lives.
He has been retired for many years, but I still visit him every other year when he comes back to their hometown for a short stay. He and his wife are always happy to see me.
Second Supervisor Stands up to Threats from Political and Legal Affairs Committee
After my first supervisor retired, his assistant succeeded his position. He was a very capable person and our department was awarded as an excellent unit three years after he took office.
However, there were several people in my workplace who wanted to gain political advancement by joining the persecution. They threatened to “transform all Falun Dafa practitioners in the workplace within three years.” The secretary of the higher-level Political and Legal Affairs Committee demanded that my supervisor make me write a statement giving up my faith.
This supervisor acted the same as my previous one. He refused the request, “My duty is to make my people work seriously. Who gives me the power to change another person’s faith? Besides, her belief has not brought any negative effect to the work. Instead, she has been working hard on the front line for many years without complaint. I can’t do what you are asking!”
But the secretary said, “That’s fine. You don’t need to do it, just let us talk to her.”
“What do you want to talk about?” he asked seriously.
“Nothing, we’ll just meet her and let her make a pledge.”
“What pledge can she make to you? Who gives you the authority?”
Seeing that he couldn’t bypass my supervisor, the secretary then threatened to retract the provincial level award given to my workplace. But my supervisor insisted that he wouldn’t let the secretary meet with me, let alone force me to write any statements. Without choice, the secretary threatened, “Your attitude will affect your future. Protecting her will affect your promotion.”
My supervisor replied immediately, “It won’t affect me at all!”
His words were proved in the next ten years. He was promoted to a higher level bureau.
Not only was the supervisor promoted, but he also recovered from a terminal illness without having surgery. He has since been in good health. Even though he frequently went out of town for meetings during the pandemic, he was not infected.
Third Supervisor Refused to Participate in the Persecution
After my second supervisor was promoted, we welcomed a new supervisor at my workplace. He was young and talented. I later learned that he knew Falun Dafa was good and that the CCP’s persecution had no legal basis.
The CCP had launched another round of persecution at the time, the so-called “zero-out campaign,” in which most practitioners were harassed and ordered to sign a statement renouncing their faith. Without exception, my supervisor received the notice from the Political and Legal Affairs Committee.
My supervisor asked me to meet with him, saying that he would like to hear my thoughts and see my attitude. Two of my colleagues were also in the meeting.
I told my supervisor, “I know that you already know Falun Dafa is good. Every person has to face the pressure on how he or she treats the persecution of Falun Dafa. You should know that the persecution has no legal basis. The CCP’s propaganda system spreads nothing but lies about Falun Dafa. If you ever read the main book, Zhuan Falun, you’ll realize it is a book that teaches people to be good according to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Many people who practice Falun Dafa are well-educated and very smart.”
He listened to me and smiled, “What you said is true. I just wanted to know your thoughts. The Political and Legal Affairs Committee keeps asking me for your photos. What should I do?”
“If you want to take my photo, I am fine with it. But it would not be good for you because it means you are participating in the persecution. I do not want you to side with the perpetrators. If it happens, I would be guilty because it is my fault for not helping you fully understand Falun Dafa.”
He said, “Well, we won’t take your photos. But will you sign the statement?”
“I won’t sign. It is a blank paper, if I sign on it, they will fill in anything they want.”
He laughed, as if he was relieved. It seemed that he got the answer he was looking for. At the end he walked me downstairs himself.
Since then no one has bothered me again. And recently he has been promoted, too. I believe the new supervisor will also have a good predestined relationship with Falun Dafa.
Master said in Zhuan Falun,
“When people show the appropriate respect and reverence toward Dafa as it manifests here in this world, they, their race, or their nation will enjoy blessings or honor.”
