My Two Cousins
I have two 84-year-old cousins who contracted COVID-19 in February of this year. Ming, who supports and believes in Falun Dafa, chanted the nine auspicious words of “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,” during his difficult days and recovered quickly. However, Gang, who chose to believe in the lies of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), sadly passed away.
My cousin Ming lives with his wife in a rural area. He caught COVID-19 but recovered after a few days of treatment. Then, his wife also became infected. When his son returned home, he drove his mother to the health center for treatment, and Ming went along. However, while they were there, Ming suddenly felt a chill and had a bad feeling that his COVID-19 had relapsed.
On the way home in the car, he kept chanting the nine auspicious words. He continued doing so and recovered after a few days, as did his wife. When I visited them, they both looked healthy and radiant, expressing their gratitude towards Falun Dafa.
My cousin Gang, a highly educated person, had been influenced by the CCP’s propaganda. Despite his daughter and son-in-law, who are both Falun Dafa practitioners, telling him about the greatness of Falun Dafa and the truth of the persecution, he chose to turn a blind eye. Gang initially recovered when he contracted COVID-19. However, when he experienced a relapse, he sadly passed away after five days.
Falun Dafa Saved Me Twice
My sister is a Falun Dafa practitioner who introduced the practice to our entire family. We have all benefited from it. I would like to share my personal story of how I have been helped by Falun Dafa.
In May 2000, I was diagnosed with hepatic ascites and admitted to the hospital. At that time, my family was facing financial difficulties and couldn’t afford the hospital fees. To make matters worse, while my wife was on her way to the hospital with all of our savings, a total of 800 yuan, the money was stolen. We found ourselves in a desperate situation. However, my sister extended her hand to help me and paid for all my hospital expenses, while none of my other relatives did anything. Thanks to her support, I was able to receive the necessary treatments and fully recovered. I knew that my sister became so unselfish and generous because she practices Falun Dafa.
During a full health check-up in November 2022, the doctor suspected that I had a hemangioma and requested further tests to confirm the diagnosis. I was afraid because my family didn’t have the extra money for treatment, and I thought I might face a life-threatening situation. However, I remembered the nine auspicious words of Falun Dafa that my sister had told me. During the three-day waiting period in the hospital, I kept reciting “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.”
After three days, the test results came back. To everyone’s surprise, I was fine. The doctor couldn’t believe the results and suggested another CT scan. This time, the shadows that had shown on the blood vessels had disappeared. I knew that the founder of Falun Dafa, Master Li Hongzhi, had helped me eliminate the hemangioma!
I am now 55 years old and as I look back on my past, I used to be hot-tempered and calculating. Now, however, I have made a decision to change myself and follow the teachings of Falun Dafa to become a better and more moral person.
