(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 19 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Zhangdian City, Shandong Province] The Case Against Mr. Pu Zhixiu Submitted to the Procuratorate

7. [Heihe City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Qu Yongxia Sentenced to Three Years and Three Months in Prison

1. [Zhangdian City, Shandong Province] The Case Against Mr. Pu Zhixiu Submitted to the Procuratorate
Mr. Pu Zhixiu, 78, was reported to police for talking to people about Falun Gong during the CCP's holiday on May 1, 2023. A large group of officers came and ransacked his home. He was not arrested due to his old age, but his case was submitted to the procuratorate.
2. [Dengta City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Gao Yanxia Arrested and Detained
Ms. Gao Yanxia was arrested at her home by officers in early June 2023. The police ransacked her home without showing a search warrant. They did not find anything. Ms. Gao was taken away and has been detained.
3. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Ding Zhongsheng Arrested
Mr. Ding Zhongsheng, 76, was arrested by four officers from the No. 4 Center Police Station of Linyuan in the Datong District. The police ransacked his home and took his Falun Gong books. Mr. Ding was taken to the police station and pressured to sign the three statements. He was released later.
4. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Li Tieying Arrested and Detained
Ms. Li Tieying, a retired teacher, was reported to police and was arrested at her daughter’s home by four officers from the Ranghulu Police Station on July 12, 2022. She was later released on bail pending trial for one year.
Ms. Li was summoned to the police station on June 20, 2023. She went there with an application to remove the bail status. However, she was arrested and detained for 15 days.
5. [Tieling City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhang Chao Detained
Mr. Zhang Chao was seen on surveillance cameras when she distributed information about Falun Gong two years ago. He was arrested by officers in Shuangliao City of Jilin Province on June 16, 2023. He was sent to the Siping Detention Center.
6. [Xichang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yu Hongying Sentenced to Three and a Half Years in Prison
Ms. Yu Hongying was sentenced to three and a half years in prison on June 12, 2023. She recently appealed to the Chengdu Railway Transportation Intermediate Court.
7. [Heihe City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Qu Yongxia Sentenced to Three Years and Three Months in Prison
Ms. Qu Yongxia was sentenced to three years and three months in prison by the Aihui District Court on May 25, 2023. She appealed to the Intermediate Court.
8. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Liang Yi Arrested and Detained
Mr. Liang Yi was harassed at home by three officers from the Han Street Police Station in Wuchang District on the afternoon of May 15, 2023. When Mr. Liang refused to go to the police station with them, the police tried to break into his home but failed. They stayed for more than three hours outside his home. When Mr. Liang went to his workplace for his night shift that night, he was told to quit.
Mr. Liang found a new job and went to work on the morning of May 22, 2023. He learned the police were coming there to look for him. He escaped. The police went to his home that evening and questioned his wife, Ms. Li Aifang.
The four officers went to his home again on the afternoon of June 19, 2023. Mr. Liang was not there. His wife was not allowed to leave and not allowed to phone her company. Eventually, the police took his wife to the police station for interrogation. She was released around 10 p.m.
Mr. Liang was arrested by officers from the Han Street Police Station on June 21, 2023 and was placed under 15-day detention. He was held in the Qingling Detention House.
9. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Feng Yanmei Arrested
Ms. Feng Yanmei was arrested by officers from the Daliba Township Police Station on the evening of June 12, 2023. The police ransacked her home and confiscated over 40 Falun Gong books. It was said that Ms. Feng was seen on surveillance cameras distributing information about Falun Gong in a city stadium a few months ago.
10. [Donggang City, Liaoning Province] Sui Shiheng and Liu Meirong Harassed
Sui Shiheng, 89, lives in Tumen Village, Heigou Township. Several officers from the Hegou Township Police Station went to Sui’s home on the evening of June 11, 2023. They ransacked the place and confiscated multiple Falun Gong books and a photo of Falun Gong's founder. They threatened that Sui’s grandson would be implicated if Sui was found talking to people about Falun Gong.
Liu Meirong and other practitioners live in Suigoutun, Dongtucheng Village, Heigou Township. Several officers from the Hegou Township Police Station went there on June 15 or 16, 2023. They claimed the practitioners in the village went to other places to promote Falun Gong and they pressured the local officials to monitor them.
11. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Eight Practitioners Harassed
Two officers from the Lianhuayuan Police Station in Qianxi County went to Dongchengyu Village on the morning of June 15, 2023. They harassed six practitioners in the village including Li Zhenhai, Zhao Yueyan, Xie Daofeng, Heng Fengju, Zhou Cuihua and Guo Sulian. On the same day, they also harassed two practitioners in the Xiluzhuang Village including Zhang Kuiyan and Wang Xiuying.
The practitioners were questioned and asked whether they still practiced Falun Gong and they were videotaped.
