(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners held activities on Pegasus Plaza in Dallas on July 13, 2023, commemorating the 24th anniversary of their peaceful efforts to resist and expose the persecution in China. Many people learned about Falun Dafa and the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution, and signed a petition calling to end it.
Practitioners hold activities in downtown Dallas to mark the 24th anniversary of peacefully resisting the CCP’s persecution.
Despite the temperature rising into the triple digits, practitioners distributed flyers and collected signatures on a petition at street intersections. Some demonstrated the Falun Dafa exercises while others held large banners with information about the CCP’s atrocities.
Jason, a policeman on duty, said that the practitioners’ activities are always peaceful and orderly. He read their introductory flyers and learned about Falun Dafa from their activities in the past. Jason supports the practitioners’ efforts and said that everyone should know how the CCP violates human rights.
Local residents Derek and his family stopped to learn why practitioners were holding the event. Derek said that he served in the Navy and heard about the CCP’s violation of human rights, but he hadn’t realized how serious it had become. Derek, his wife Jasmine, and their children agreed with Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and expressed their sympathy for those being persecuted.

A young man named Jose asked detailed questions about the persecution. He told a practitioner that he would like to learn how to practice Falun Dafa.
