(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 14 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Lili Detained
2. [Kaiyuan City, Liaoning Province] Four Practitioners Arrested
3. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhao Yubo Faces Trial
4. [Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Xiao Fanglian Arrested and Detained
5. [Yanbian City, Jilin Province] Mr. Zheng Lijun Arrested
6. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Qu Jun was Arrested and Detained
7. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Four Practitioners Arrested
1. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Lili Detained
Ms. Liu Lili developed a high fever while she was held in the No.1 Detention Center of Tangshan City in December 2022. As a result her legs were paralyzed. However, she was still taken to the Hebei Province Women’s Prison on April 18, 2023 and was detained in the No.17 Ward.
2. [Kaiyuan City, Liaoning Province] Four Practitioners Arrested
Four practitioners from Xiafeidi Township were arrested by officers from the Huangqizhai Township Police Station for posting stickers (which had information about Falun Gong) near Huangqizhai Township on the afternoon of July 6, 2023. They are Ms. Liu Li, 57, Ms. Yang Yukun, 61, Ms. Su Changqin, 76, and Ms. Chen Yongfen, 74. The practitioners were taken to the Kaiyuan City Police Department for interrogation. Ms. Su Changqin and Ms. Chen Yongfen were released the next day. Ms. Liu Li and Ms. Yang Yukun were taken to the Tieling City Detention House.
3. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhao Yubo Faces Trial
Mr. Zhao Yubo will be tried in the Anshan Intermediate Court on July 17, 2023.
4. [Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Xiao Fanglian Arrested and Detained
Ms. Xiao Fanglian from Hongmiaopo was arrested at her home by officers from the Lianhu District Police Department on July 5, 2023. She is currently held in the Lianhu District Detention Center.
5. [Yanbian City, Jilin Province] Mr. Zheng Lijun Arrested
Mr. Zheng Lijun was previously released on bail pending trial. He was recently arrested.
6. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Qu Jun was Arrested and Detained
Qu Jun lives in the No.11 Branch of Hongguang Farm, Baiyilaga Township, Qianguo County, Songyuan City. The police ransacked Qu’s home and took Qu away on July 5, 2023. Qu was placed under 15-day detention.
7. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Four Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Liu Yan was arrested at a place where truth clarifying materials were produced at 7 p.m. on February 24, 2023. The police ransacked the place and confiscated Falun Gong books, truth clarifying materials, computers, printers, etc. Her younger brother, Mr. Liu Qingjiang, was also arrested. Ms. Liu is currently held in the No.3 Detention Center of Panjin City.
Ms. Li Chunsheng was arrested at home on February 25, 2023. She was released the next day.
Ms. Li Hong and Ms. Liu Bailing were arrested on February 27, 2023. Ms. Liu was taken to the police department where she was interrogated until 4:30 a.m. the following morning. She was handcuffed and wore a device on her wrist during the interrogation.
Ms. Liu Bailing was summoned to the procuratorate to sign some documents on the afternoon of June 27, 2023.
