(Minghui.org) Practitioners held a parade and rally in downtown Dublin on July 22, 2023 to expose the CCP’s (Chinese Communist Party) persecution of Falun Dafa and its crime of forced organ harvesting. Many people encouraged their efforts and signed a petition to end the persecution. Some said that they like Falun Dafa’s guiding principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Many people said, “The world needs more compassion.”

The parade set off at noon from the Garden of Remembrance and wound through Parnell Street, then down O’Connell Street, Dublin’s main thoroughfare, and ended in front of the General Post Office where practitioners held a rally.
Some Chinese people quit the CCP and its youth organizations after talking with practitioners. Many people took additional materials so their family members could read them. Some said it was the first time they heard about the persecution in China. After learning what Falun Dafa is, others said they were interested in learning how to practice.
July 20, 2023 marks the 24th anniversary of Falun Dafa practitioners’ peacefully resisting the CCP’s persecution. Ms. Liu, spokesperson for the Falun Dafa Association in Ireland, called on people to work together to end the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa and its practitioners.
She said, “Twenty-four years of genocide is too long. The world’s people should work together to end it.”
During the rally, three Falun Dafa practitioners shared their personal experiences and exposed the CCP’s persecution, including Ms. Cen Hua, a former associate professor at the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing.
In April this year, Ms. Cen Hua was suddenly kidnapped in Beijing. Her daughter called for help to rescue her. Fourteen members of parliament sent a letter to the Irish Foreign Minister, including Rep. Richard Boyd Barrett who attended a press conference held by practitioners to express his support. He called on the Chinese authorities to immediately release Ms. Cen Hua and stop persecuting millions of Falun Dafa practitioners.
Ms. Cen recently arrived in Ireland and joined her daughter. During the rally she recounted her experience of being persecuted by the CCP in China.

No One Deserves to Be Treated Like This
Jason and Neina signed a petition to end the persecution
Jason and Neina listened to the rally and heard how Ms. Cen Hua was persecuted for practicing Falun Dafa. Jason said, “It’s shocking. It’s torture, 100 percent torture.” Neina said, “No one deserves to be treated like this.”
They both signed the petition to end the persecution. Neina said, “They (the CCP) must know that the whole world does not agree with this persecution. They need to hear this voice. This persecution is wrong.”
The CCP also uses propaganda to smear Falun Dafa. Neina feels this is, “Because Falun Dafa is good.” Jason said, “A dictatorship does not tolerate people with independent ideas or thoughts.”
“The World Needs More Compassion”
Maleia said, “No one should be treated like this. People should be able to follow their beliefs, and I really hope that the Chinese government will stop the persecution. I hope Chinese can resist the CCP. I know it’s hard, but we must be strong.”
Anthony hopes to put practitioners’ stories on his website so that more people can learn about the persecution, “So that we can hear Falun Dafa and speak out for those persecuted in China,” he said.
Tour guide Elizabeth said she supported practitioners. “This persecution is terrible. I can’t believe that it continues in China.” She praised practitioners as they did the exercises and said, “It’s so beautiful.”
Gabriel and Mauro from Spain signed the petition. They praised practitioners for exposing the persecution by peacefully rallying and holding parades, “It’s amazing how peaceful and non-violent this is.”
Zena said the world needs more compassion.
After signing the petition, Zena from Lebanon said, “The CCP forcibly removes organs of Falun Dafa practitioners while they are still alive. This is extremely cruel and appalling.”
Zena also said that she likes Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and that, “The world needs more compassion.” A practitioner said that if she wants to know more about Falun Dafa she can read the main book, Zhuan Falun, which is available in Arabic on the FalunDafa.org website and can be downloaded for free.
Background: What Is Falun Dafa and Why Is the CCP Persecuting It?
Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China, in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Millions of people who have embraced the teachings, which are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and have learned the five exercises, have experienced improved health and well-being.
Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), perceived the spiritual discipline’s growing popularity as a threat to the CCP’s atheistic ideology and on July 20, 1999, he issued an order to eradicate the practice.
Under Jiang’s personal direction, the CCP established the 610 Office, an extralegal security organization with the power to override the police and judicial systems and whose sole function is to carry out the persecution of Falun Dafa.
Minghui.org has confirmed the deaths of thousands of practitioners as a result of the persecution over the past 24 years. The actual number is believed to be much higher. Countless practitioners have been imprisoned and tortured for their faith.
There is concrete evidence that the CCP sanctions the harvesting of organs from detained practitioners, who are murdered to supply China’s organ transplant industry.
