(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners from Austria and Germany formed a motorcade to carry out a two-day activity to promote Falun Dafa in Vienna, the capital of Austria, on August 5-6. The truth-clarification motorcade passed through many scenic spots in central Vienna, and also stopped at Heldenplatz, to tell people about the preciousness of Falun Dafa (also called Falun Gong), and collect signatures for a petition to help end the persecution of the practice in China.
The truth-clarification motorcade started at Heldenplatz in front of Hofburg Palace.
Escorted by a police car, the motorcade departed from Helderplatz in front of Vienna’s historic Hofburg Palace, and drove through the center of Vienna. Display boards on the car roof racks displayed words including “Falun Dafa is Good,” “The World Needs Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance,” and “Five Exercises to Improve Life.”
For almost three hours the motorcade passed by the most important sights twice, including the Austrian Parliament (österreichisches Parlament), State Opera House (Staatsoper), Burgtheater, Karlskirche Church, Naschmarkt, and the embassy area including the Chinese embassy. From time to time, pedestrians stopped to watch the motorcade passing by, and many tourists took photos.
One young lady told practitioners that she had heard about the CCP’s crime of organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners, and immediately signed the petition form.
Falun Gong practitioner Ding Lebin appeals to the CCP to release his illegally imprisoned parents.
The motorcade stopped at Helderplatz for about an-hour-and-a-half. A host interviewed Ding Lebin, a Falun Gong practitioner living in Berlin, in German and English. Mr. Ding’s parents, Ding Yuande and Ma Ruimei, are both Falun Gong practitioners. The couple was arrested in May this year for practicing Falun Gong. His mother, Ma Ruimei, is currently out “on bail pending trial,” and is under tight surveillance. His father, Ding Yuande, is still jailed in a detention center, and his family is not allowed to visit him.
