(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners have held an information event in front of the Nobel Prize Museum in Stockholm every Saturday afternoon in July 2023. The peaceful atmosphere as they did the exercises drew many people, who stopped to learn about Falun Dafa. After hearing of the brutal persecution of Falun Dafa in China, they signed the petition to call for an end to the atrocities. Several people said they were interested in learning the Falun Dafa exercises.

People talk with practitioners about Falun Dafa and the persecution.
Many people signed the petition to call for an end to the persecution in China after learning about what is happening in China.
July is the peak tourist season in Stockholm and the weather is pleasant. The beautiful island archipelago, natural parks and ancient towns draw many tourists to come for the holidays and enjoy the summer in Northern Europe.
Theo (on left) did all five Falun Dafa exercises.
Theo, a young man from London, passed by the practitioners’ event on July 29. He was astounded by the contrast between the peaceful exercises demonstrated by practitioners and the brutality of the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) persecution shown on the display boards.
When a practitioner told him that the organs of incarcerated practitioners were taken without consent and sold for huge profit, he signed the petition to stop the persecution. “The Chinese Communist Party is so evil to persecute such a peaceful practice. It must be stopped!” he said.
Theo added, “I am curious about traditional, ancient culture. Every year, I have six weeks of holiday to travel around the world and find things that are meaningful. I am going to Oslo tomorrow and I am very lucky to meet you here today. I love China’s ancient history and traditional culture, and I am really keen to give Falun Dafa a try.”
He then followed along with the practitioners and did all five sets of exercises. He was very happy afterwards and said he was reluctant to leave. “It felt amazing,” he noted. “I will download the teachings online when I go home and then start to learn the exercises. I feel as if I have found something I have been searching for, for a long time! My trip to Sweden was well worth it! Thank you!”
“The CCP is a demon! How can I help you?” a Stockholm resident said angrily after he learned about the CCP’s forced organ harvesting. “This is unbelievable and cannot be tolerated!” He told practitioners he did not know anything about Falun Dafa until a Vietnamese classmate at university told him about it.
The young man said, “I became interested in this practice because I always wanted to know more about traditional Chinese culture. China has a long history and ancient traditions. I really want to learn how to practice Falun Dafa.” He asked practitioners many questions about Falun Dafa. When he was told there was a practice site near downtown Stockholm every Sunday, he noted the time and address and said he plans to go there to learn the exercises.
A couple who are IT engineers from India were moved after they learned about the persecution and practitioners’ efforts over 20 years to expose the brutalities. They were sad to hear how practitioners in China are brutally tortured including having their organs harvested. Not only did the couple sign the petition, they also wanted to pass on information about the persecution to more people.
The husband took photos of practitioners doing the exercises, and of the display boards and other materials available for people to learn about the persecution. He said he intends to consolidate these photos into an album and put it on his personal website. The couple repeated that they were keen to tell more people about the persecution, help practitioners spread the truth, and support Falun Dafa with their actions.
Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China, in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Millions of people who have embraced the teachings, which are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and have learned the five exercises, have experienced improved health and well-being.
Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), perceived the spiritual discipline’s growing popularity as a threat to the CCP’s atheistic ideology and on July 20, 1999, he issued an order to eradicate the practice.
Under Jiang’s personal direction, the CCP established the 610 Office, an extralegal security organization with the power to override the police and judicial systems and whose sole function is to carry out the persecution of Falun Dafa.
Minghui.org has confirmed the deaths of thousands of practitioners as a result of the persecution over the past 24 years, though due to the difficulty in getting information out of China, the actual number is believed to be much higher. Countless practitioners have been imprisoned and tortured for their faith.
There is concrete evidence that the CCP sanctions the harvesting of organs from detained practitioners, who are murdered to supply China’s organ transplant industry.
