(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 8 provinces, where at least 14 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

Ms. Qi Yingjun will be tried in the Laiwu District Court at 2:30 p.m. on August 14, 2023.
2. [Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Chen Shuiqing Faces Trial
Mr. Chen Shuiqing will be tried in the Chikan District Court on August 18, 2023.
3. [Hailin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Dongmei Faces Trial
Ms. Liu Dongmei from Suifenhe City will be tried in the Hailin City Court on August 11, 2023.
4. [Siping City, Jilin Province] Mr. Yao Xianmin Arrested and Detained
Mr. Yao Xianmin, 53, has worked in Changchun City for two or three years. He has been trying to tell people the truth about Falun Gong online. He was arrested around July 10, 2023 by the CCP’s Internet police and taken to the Zhenlai County Detention Center in Baicheng City. His lawyer and family members are not allowed to visit him.
5. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Hu Yanhua Arrested and Detained
Ms. Hu Yanhua was arrested by officers from the Laodong Street Police Station in the Jiang’an District in late May 2023. She was detained in the Ankang Hospital for over two months and was transferred to the Yusunshan Brainwashing Center on August 8, 2023.
Three officers from the Laodong Street Police Station, as well as Ms. Hu’s ex-husband, went to Ms. Hu’s rented apartment. They broke in and confiscated a computer and several USB drives.
6. [Nong’an County, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Qixia Arrested
Ms. Wang Qixia from Nong’an County was arrested by officers from the Jingyue Street Police Station in Changchun City on August 9, 2023. She is currently detained in the Weizigou Detention House.
7. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Bai Mingxian and Ms. Liu Yufen Arrested
Mr. Bai Mingxian from Jiutai District was recently arrested. The details are unknown.
Ms. Liu Yufen from Jiutai District was arrested around July 21, 2023. After she was detained for 15 days, she was placed under criminal detention and has not been released.
8. [Chongqing] Mr. Zhang Lijiang Arrested and Detained
Mr. Zhang Lijiang, over 50, was arrested by officers from the Cuntan Police Station in Jiangbei District on June 29, 2023. He is currently held in the Fusheng Detention Center in Jiangbei District.
9. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Kong Xiangyin Arrested and Detained
Mr. Kong Xiangyin from the Kuiwen District was reported to police for talking to people about Falun Gong in the morning fresh market and was arrested by officers from the Dongguan Police Station in Kuiwen District on July 23, 2023. His home was ransacked. The police confiscated his Falun Gong books, the photo of Falun Gong’s founder and other personal belongings. Mr. Kong was taken to the detention center. His case was submitted to the Kuiwen District Procuratorate.
10. [Hengshui City, Hebei Province] Ms. Yang Yingchun Arrested and Detained
Ms. Yang Yingchun from Jing County was reported to police when she talked to some students about Falun Gong. She was arrested in 2020. She was later released on bail pending trial. Ms. Yang was tried in the Jing County Court on July 1, 2022 and was sentenced to three years in prison and fined 5,000 yuan in September 2022. She left her home to avoid the persecution.
Ms. Yang was arrested in Zaoqiang County, Henshui City on July 13, 2023. She is currently held in the Henshui City Detention Center.
11. [Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province] The Case Against Ms. Su Guiying Submitted to the Procuratorate
Ms. Su Guiying was arrested at her home by officers in the Mazhang District on May 11, 2023. She was sent to the Zhanjiang City Detention Center. Her case was submitted to the Chikan District Procuratorate.
12. [Beipiao City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhuang Yuli Arrested and Detained
Ms. Zhuang Yuli from Xiguan Village of Xiguan Town was arrested at home by officers from the Xiguan Town Police Station on July 27, 2023. She was placed under 15-day detention.
13. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Tang Yunxia Arrested
Ms. Tang Yunxia was arrested by four plainclothes officers from the Fanjiang Road Police Station on the evening of July 24, 2023. She was beaten, which caused her right front tooth to fall out. She was under house arrest in the Huigui Hostel and was released on August 8, 2023.
