(Minghui.org) Congressman Glenn Grothman of Wisconsin’s sixth district sent a letter condemning the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution of Falun Gong practitioners on July 20, 2023.

Congressman Grothman stated in the letter, “I want to convey my unwavering support for your courageous fight against persecution and oppression by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). I firmly believe that any person, no matter which country they reside in, deserves the right to practice their faith without fear of persecution from any government or non-state actor.”
He continued, “The brutal oppression endured by Falun Gong practitioners at the hands of the CCP for the past 24 years is deeply disturbing. The CCP has sought to wipe out Falun Gong practitioners through political imprisonment, torture, and the abhorrent practice of organ harvesting. Families have been torn apart and countless lives have been lost. I stand with you in condemning the CCP for their atrocious actions that violate universally recognized human rights.”
He expressed his support to the practitioners, “Please know that Members of Congress, like me, have not forgotten about the plight of Falun Gong. The CCP is an oppressive regime that has long tyrannized the innocent. Their persecution of Falun Gong practitioners and other religious and ethnic minorities must come to an end.”
