(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 5 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 8 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Mr. Hu Shenjia Arrested
2. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Xing Chen Arrested
3. [Maoming City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Huang Yuemei Arrested
4. [Leiyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Chen Pingfang Harassed
5. [Dujiangyan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhou Lanfang’s Home Ransacked
6. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Harassed
1. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Mr. Hu Shenjia Arrested
Mr. Hu Shenjia from Ji County was arrested in Shijiazhuang City by officers from the Tangu Police Station in early August 2023.
2. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Xing Chen Arrested
Ms. Xing Chen was arrested at home by four officers from the Yulin Police Station in Wuhou District at 12 a.m. on July 14, 2023. Her computer was confiscated. She was later released.
Ms. Xing Chen’s father was harassed at home by Wu Yongqiang, director of Nijiaqiao Community, in Yulin Sub-district on the morning of August 22, 2023. They asked about his daughter, Ms. Xing.
3. [Maoming City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Huang Yuemei Arrested
Ms. Huang Yuemei was arrested by officers from the Bohe Police Station when she was talking to people about Falun Gong at the harbor in Bohe Town, Dianbai District on August 16, 2023. She was placed under ten-day detention and was held in the No. 2 Detention Center in Dianbai District.
4. [Leiyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Chen Pingfang Harassed
Ms. Chen Pingfang from Leiyang City was intercepted when her ID card was scanned at the South High-speed Training Station of Nanjing City on July 29, 2023. The railway guards searched her bags and her cell phone. After Ms. Chen refused to go with them to the police station, they deleted the media files from her cell phones before they allowed her to leave.
5. [Dujiangyan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhou Lanfang’s Home Ransacked
Officers from the Taziba Police Station went to Ms. Zhou Lanfang’s home at 8 p.m. on July 27, 2023. They ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books, Minghui Weekly, 100 yuan, 10 amulets, and a photo of Falun Gong’s founder, etc. Ms. Zhou repeatedly went to the police station and asked for her Falun Gong books, but the police refused to give them to her.
6. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Harassed
Three practitioners, including Cai, Ms. Wang Yichun and Mr. Hui Guoyi, were recently harassed at home by Yu Wenjun from the Lingshui Police Station in Gaoxinyuan District. The practitioners were pressured to stop practicing Falun Gong and threatened with jail sentences. Their children’s education and jobs were also threatened.
