For years, an individual named Hongyu Zhao has enticed, brainwashed, and deceived practitioners (especially female practitioners he targeted) using clever speech to present himself as having reached a high level.
Forced to live away from home for over 20 years to avoid being persecuted for practicing Falun Gong, Mr. Hou Lijun was arrested in April and sentenced to 10 years in prison. After going on a hunger strike and being tortured, he is now in a police hospital.
Many of the thousands of pedestrians passing by stopped to watch practitioners as they did the exercises, accepted informational flyers, and asked about the practice of Falun Dafa.
