Recovering Our Pensions and Being Blessed By Dafa

(Minghui.org) My husband and I are both in our 80s. He used to suffer from heart disease as well as liver and gallbladder issues. He could not eat and was on the verge of death. 

That was in 1995 when we fortunately heard about Falun Dafa from a friend. Six months after beginning to practice, all my husband’s health problems were gone and both of us were thrilled. When I also started to practice Falun Dafa, our family members were very happy and supported us. We turned our home into a group practice site and traveled to many places to recommend Dafa to other people. 

I would like to share several miracles I experienced. 

Getting Back Withheld Pensions

After the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began to suppress Falun Dafa in July 1999, company officials reprimanded us (we worked for the same employer) for our belief. Because our home served as a group practice site, we were fined over 10,000 yuan. Our pensions were suspended, and we were forced to go elsewhere to find temporary jobs, including house cleaning, to make a living. This went on for about seven years. 

As we continued to study the Falun Dafa teachings, we felt it was wrong that our pensions had been stopped. Strengthened by Master, my husband went to our former employer and recounted how Falun Dafa saved him from a deathbed. Not only that, we followed the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance to be good citizens. For so many years, we never needed any medical attention and saved a huge amount on medical expenses for the company. All of that was because of Falun Dafa. 

The company officials listened and were moved. They decided then and there to reinstate our pensions including what had been deducted in the past. After a retired official heard the facts about Dafa, he returned the 10,000-yuan fine! Words cannot express our gratitude to Master Li, the founder of Falun Dafa, for helping us and helping those officials to make the right decisions. 

Remaining Safe in Many Incidents

One day when I was riding my bike, a young man on a bike hit me from behind, sending me and my bike flying over three meters. Everyone who saw what happened was dumbfounded and told the young man that he had to take me to the hospital. I tried to get up, but I wasn’t strong enough, so I asked Master for help. I recited, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” three times, and I was able to get up. 

“I am from Shandong Province and doing temporary jobs here,” said the terrified young man. “I have no money on me.”

I said I was all right since I was a Falun Dafa practitioner and that I just needed to get back home on my bike. Seeing three big holes had been torn in my pants around my knee, the young man asked for my address and said he would come and visit me the next day (he never did). Protected by Master Li, I slowly returned home on my bike. It hurt that night and I could hardly sleep. The next morning, I saw that my knee was swollen and injured. A month later, everything was fine. 

I was about 70 at the time. Had I not been a Dafa practitioner, the consequences would have been unimaginable. But I did not ask the young man for a penny and recovered because I was protected by Master Li. This shows how great Falun Dafa and its principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are. 

Once when I was traveling on a train, police officers showed up to check everyone’s bag for Falun Dafa materials. I looked out the window and asked Master Li for help. An officer came up to me and asked what was in my bag. I said it contained clothes, and he moved on to the next passenger. I was the only one in the car whose bag was not checked. Thank you, Master Li. 

Blessed By Dafa

Even people who do not practice Falun Dafa can benefit from it if they have the right attitude. I was visiting my hometown when I heard that a relative’s child, Ning, had done poorly on her college entrance exam, and her entire family was very worried. I told them about Falun Dafa and the miracles I had experienced. Everyone in the family quit the CCP and its youth organizations, the Youth League and the Young Pioneers. 

A miracle happened. Even before the results of the college entrance exam were announced, a college admissions officer called Ning personally to ask her to apply for a certain major. She did as she was instructed and was admitted right away. That was the first time anything like that had ever happened in this remote rural county. Villagers said she was like a “golden phoenix flying out of a ravine.” Not only that, Ning later finished graduate school and found a well-paying job in a large city. Her younger brother also enrolled in a renowned university the following year. The family knew they were blessed for believing that Dafa is good. 

Both my daughters have also benefited from Dafa. My older daughter got married but remained childless. After my husband and I began to practice Dafa, our daughters were very supportive. The following year, my older daughter had triplets! They have all now finished graduate school and even the local newspaper featured a story on them. My second daughter married late, but she had twins at 43. They are now in kindergarten. 

I know all these are blessings from Master Li and I am deeply grateful for his compassion.
