Justice Will Prevail
Ms. Jenny Ochoa Rojas from the Social Services of Magdalena del Mar was in charge of the opening ceremony. She said that cultural exchange is the objective of her unit. She said, “This event is important since it gives the opportunity to learn about different realities, and the exhibition teaches people to value freedom.” She hopes that justice will soon come to those persecuted in China.
During her opening speech, she praised the paintings for their beauty and internal message, and said practicing Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance was necessary. She also thanked the organizers for bringing the art exhibition to her district.
In her introductory speech, Luisa, a Falun Gong practitioner, highlighted the roots of the exhibition, introduced Falun Dafa to the audience, and described the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution in China during the last 25 years.
Mr. Sedano Meza, a professor at several universities in the capital, said the exhibition was extraordinary and wonderful. He saw a truly spiritual meaning of human life--a message for life--and through it, the improvement of humanity. He wanted to know more about Chinese culture and said he would tell his students to attend.

Impressed by the Paintings
Rosa Agurto said, “The paintings are expressive and very emotional, we must end the abuses and aggression in the world, be compassionate and more so with our compatriots. I am very grateful and encouraged by the practice of Falun Dafa and thus be able to help myself and help others.”

Evelyn said that the exhibition was very interesting and important to her to know how Falun Dafa practitioners are persecuted in China and how spirituality and righteousness help them resist. She called on people to not practice violence but always seek the truth. Despite the persecution by the Chinese Communist Party, practitioners react peacefully and continue their practice in different parts of the world. “Human beings can achieve purity by cultivating themselves,” she said.

Zulema said viewing the paintings was “a good experience. Seeing beautiful, very significant paintings in an environment where your mind and body are at rest, I felt at peace and calm and sad at the same time.”

Juan, a descendant of Chinese ancestors, said that his family came to Peru with the surname Liu, then changed it to Palacios. He was amazed that the paintings revealed the history, culture and art of his ancestors. He asked what Falun Dafa meant and was surprised by the persecution and the paintings. He said the paintings were inspiring.
Other attendees said the world needs to become more spiritual in order to live in harmony and with respect. Mrs. Diana Asenjo said that seeing the artworks was a form of motivation to continue fighting for respect and freedom.
Many attendees said it was a great learning experience and an open window to the true China, of pain, sadness, and a bridge towards a part of suffering humanity. We must cultivate our spirit without faltering and without losing hope.
