(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 4 cities or counties in 2 provinces, where at least 6 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Guiying Harassed
2. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Yunying and Ms. Ren Songchun Harassed

4. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Mr. Hao Jingming Sentenced to Seven Years and Eight Months in Prison
5. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Yafen Passed Away Due to Persecution
1. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Guiying Harassed
Ms. Liu Guiying was harassed at home by officers from the Dongge Police Station on September 14, 2024. They took blood and hair sample from her.
2. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Yunying and Ms. Ren Songchun Harassed
Six officials including two from the Shahe Town government, two from Yantai City and one from the Laizhou City 610 Office, went to Ms. Li Yunying’s home on the afternoon of September 26, 2024. After Ms. Li refused to go with them, the officials called in seven officers from the Shahe Town Police Station. They ordered her to sign a statement to renounce Falun Gong and she firmly refused. Ms. Li’s daughter was then called in and, under pressure, signed the statement on behalf of her mother. The officials also confiscated a Falun Dafa wall calendar a wall decoration from Ms. Li’s home.
Ms. Ren Songchun was summoned to the village office by a village official in Xinzhuang Village, Hutouya Town, on the morning of September 27, 2024. Three agents from the Yantai City 610 Office, two from the local government office, and several officers from the Hutouya Town Police Station were there. They photographed Ms. Ren and pressured her to sign a statement to renounce Falun Gong, which she refused. They tricked her into signing a paper written with the words “being a law-abiding citizen (meaning following the Communist Party’s “law”) not to practice Falun Gong.”
3. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Jing Cuixiang Harassed
Ms. Jing Cuixiang, who lives in Dongyanghe Village, Chaigoubao Town, Huaian County, was harassed at home by several police officers on July 10, 2024. The police confiscated a Falun Gong book. The same group of officers also harassed another practitioner on the same day.
4. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Mr. Hao Jingming Sentenced to Seven Years and Eight Months in Prison
Mr. Hao Jingming was arrested in Pingdu City on July 3, 2023 and later sentenced to seven years and eight months in prison with a 30,000-yuan fine. He was transferred from the Pingdu City Detention Center to Jinan Prison on July 10, 2024. The prison said his family wouldn’t be allowed to visit him until three months later.
5. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Yafen Passed Away Due to Persecution
Ms. Zhang Yafen from Fengtai District was given a forced labor camp term in September 2006, and sentenced to prison twice in April 2017 and January 2020. She was very weak and emaciated when she was released in 2021. She continued to live in fear due to ongoing police harassment. Ms. Zhang passed away in December 2023. She was 60.
