(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 8 provinces, where at least 11 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Changle County, Shandong Province] Ms. Meng Yuzhen Detained

Ms. Meng Yuzhen, nearly 70, was arrested by local police on March 9, 2024, for talking to people about Falun Gong. She is currently being detained in the Weifang City Detention Center. The police recently ordered her to sign a statement to renounce Falun Gong and threatened to sentence her to one year if she refused to comply.

2. [Jiaozuo City, Henan Province] Ms. Bian Xiaoe Detained for Three Months and Counting

Ms. Bian Xiaoe was arrested on June 7, 2024, after she was followed by the police while talking to people about Falun Gong. She has since been held in a local detention center.

3. [Tieling City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wu Bo Faces Indictment

The case against Mr. Wu Bo was submitted to the Changtu County Procuratorate on September 3, 2024. He is now facing indictment.

4. [Tai’an City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhao Weidong and His Wife Ms. Sun Xiuwei Arrested

Mr. Zhao Weidong, 62, and his wife Ms. Sun Xiuwei, were arrested by officers including Huo Xinliang from the Xujialou Police Station, when the couple were delivering goods to Lilinzhuang Supermarket in Qiujiadian Town on September 12, 2024. They were handcuffed and taken to the Qiujiadian Town Police Station for interrogation. Mr. Zhao refused to cooperate with the police during a body search. His head was injured and bled a lot. He was taken to the Qiujiadian Town Health Center for treatment and then to a detention facility in Wangjialing, Tianping Street, Daiyue District two days later. Ms. Sun was released on the day of her arrest. The police didn’t allow her to visit Mr. Zhao.

5. [Luzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Luo Linrong Arrested

Ms. Luo Linrong was arrested when she was distributing informational materials about Falun Gong in Lantian Town on September 19, 2024.

6. [Tianjin] Ms. Yuan Zemin Arrested

Ms. Yuan Zemin, from Wuqing District, was reported to police for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong on June 28, 2024. She was arrested by several officers from the Quanxing Road Police Station when she distributed the materials again on July 24, 2024, and her home was ransacked. She was released in the evening.

7. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Li Guixian Facing Trial

Mr. Li Guixian from Dadong District was scheduled to stand trial in the Dadong District Court at 9 a.m. on September 25, 2024.

8. [Xianyang, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Yuan Haisheng Detained for Two Days

Ms. Yuan Haisheng’s home in Huangjiazai Village, Qiaonan Town was ransacked around September 5, 2024. The police confiscated her Falun Gong books, printer, and computer. She was later arrested around September 17, 2024. She was detained for two days at the Fengdong Boulevard Police Station and released after she had symptoms of hemiplegia.

9. [Hunchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhou Yanhua Arrested

Ms. Zhou Yanhua, 58, was arrested on August 5, 2024. The police ransacked her home and confiscated her computer, printer, cash, etc.

10. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhao Lanying Arrested

Ms. Zhao Lanying, a native of Mudanjiang City, was arrested in her rental apartment in Harbin City, the capital of Heilongjiang Province, on September 20, 2024.
