(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 19 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

4. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Harassed
5. [Qinglong County, Hebei Province] Ms. Hao Liqin Released from Prison
6. [Dazhou City, Sichuan Province] Eight Practitioners Arrested in Two Days
7. [Laixi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Guizhi and Mr. Shi Guoxing Harassed
8. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Xiaonan Forced to Live Away from Home 

1. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Facing Trial

Three practitioners including Fu Jian, of Shouguang City, Ms. Wang Fan, and her husband Mr. Du Jianxin, were scheduled to appear in the Dongying District Court for the third time on October 21, 2024.

2. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Liang Xiangjiao Arrested

Ms. Liang Xiangjiao was arrested by three officers from the Cuiwei Police Station at around 3 p.m. on October 17, 2024, after being reported for talking to people about Falun Gong in Guiyuanchan Temple, Hanyang District.

3. [Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Ye Ruibao Arrested

Ms. Ye Ruibao, 77, was reported to the police for talking to people about Falun Gong at a bus stop. The police arrested her after she got off the bus. She was taken to the police station for interrogation and was released later that day. The police harassed her at home ten days later. 

4. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Harassed

Ms. Deng Lijuan from Sihe Township was harassed at home by officers from the Qingshan Township Police Station on September 12, 2024. They took photos of her without her consent.

The officers from the Qingshan Township Police Station instigated the relatives of Ms. Zhang Huayun and her sister Ms. Zhang Huayu to take photos of them without their knowledge.

5. [Qinglong County, Hebei Province] Ms. Hao Liqin Released from Prison

Ms. Hao Liqin from Mutoudeng Town was released from the Shijiazhuang Women’s Prison on October 13, 2024, after serving a three-year term.

6. [Dazhou City, Sichuan Province] Eight Practitioners Arrested in Two Days

Three practitioners from Zhuyang Town of Dazhu County, including Ms. Yu Shengcui, Ms. She Xingmin, and Luo Qiong, were arrested on the evening of October 13, 2024, after being reported for talking to people about Falun Gong at Huangge Square. Their homes were ransacked. They have been detained in the Fuxing Detention Center since.

Ms. Yu Shiqing from Zhuyang Town was arrested at home on October 14, 2024. She was released later that day.

Four practitioners from Zhuyang Town including Ms. Zhang Zhanping, Ms. Peng Zuyin, Ms. Li Zhongju and Liu, were arrested right after they finished reading Falun Gong books at Ms. Peng’s home around 5 p.m. on October 14, 2024. Ms. Li and Liu were released the next day. Ms. Zhang and Ms. Peng were taken to the Fuxing Detention Center.

7. [Laixi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Guizhi and Mr. Shi Guoxing Harassed

Ms. Wang Guizhi, 80, was harassed at home by the police in mid-October 2024. They video recorded the premises and confiscated several Falun Gong books and the photo of Falun Gong’s founder.

Mr. Shi Guoxing and his wife in Diaojiapu Village were harassed twice around the same time. 

8. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Xiaonan Forced to Live Away from Home 

Five officers in plainclothes went to Ms. Zhang Xiaonan’s home at about 7 a.m. on September 20, 2024, to arrest her. She escaped from the window on the second floor. Her husband, who doesn’t practice Falun Gong, was taken to the police station for interrogation. He was not allowed to leave until 3 p.m. Ms. Zhang was forced to live away from home since. Her husband struggles to care for their child, who is in elementary school.
