My Experiences While Clarifying the Truth About Recent Defamatory Articles

(Minghui.org) Many Falun Dafa practitioners outside China joined the effort to clarify the truth and seek signatures on petitions to support the Falun Gong Protection Act, H.R. 4132. I would like to share some of my recent experiences.

Light Every Lamp

I noticed many people waiting for a bus, so I went to an elderly man and greeted him. I said, “I’m seeking signatures on a petition to end the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). I practice Falun Dafa and it has been brutally persecuted by the CCP since 1999. The Party harvests practitioners’ organs while they are alive and they have been killing people for more than a century...” As I spoke, I opened up the brochure and showed it to him. I said, “by exposing the CCP’s evil deeds, we hope to let people clearly see what the CCP is all about and reject it.” After he signed the petition, I showed him a copy of the Falun Dafa Protection Act, H.R. 4132 and explained what it was. He happily signed that petition.

After signing the petition, he was still very concerned and said, “Do you realize something? The successful outcome of what you are doing is important, but the process is also very important. Every person that you’ve spoken to is like a lamp that you are lighting. You should continue and light every lamp you can. In the end, the cumulative impact will be huge.”

Hearing his words made me feel glad that a person has such a good understanding. I know that his waiting for many lifetimes was not in vain and his great wish to help Dafa was fulfilled. His world has already been illuminated by Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.

If Your Problem is Resolved, Our Problems May Also Be Resolved

I clarified the truth to a young person from a certain ethnic group. After listening to me and reading the material, he said, “Did you know that some of our young people are also having their organs harvested? If your problem is resolved, our problems may also be resolved! I want to sign.” He then signed the petition to end the CCP and the one to support the Falun Dafa Protection Act.

This teenager’s ability to understand the issue so positively deeply impressed me because some people told me, “We also have many problems so we can’t care about yours.”

It Feels Wonderful to Know the Truth

A Western male teenager was waiting for the bus. I went over to clarify the truth to him. The brochure I showed him has pictures of Falun Dafa practitioners being persecuted by the CCP and it has a quote from the human rights lawyer, David Matas who said that organ harvesting is a new type of evil on Earth. After reading the brochure, the teenager was shocked and signed to support the end to the CCP’s criminal behavior. He looked as though he had a lot to say, so I didn’t leave.

He said, “I’m only twenty two years old. I just graduated from university and I plan to take some trips. I even planned to go to China. I don’t know much about this world yet. I’m just standing here waiting for the bus and you came over and told me about this matter which I never heard before.”

He was so moved that his voice shook a bit. He was quiet for a while and then said slowly, “You know, it’s huge!”

His words made me recall the first time I learned about the CCP’s live organ harvesting from Falun Dafa practitioners. No words can describe the pain I felt in my heart. I weep whenever I think about how the CCP harvests organs from practitioners.

People Are Waiting to Hear the Truth

I’ve also met some Westerners who were deceived by the articles that some U.S. media published. When I clarified the truth to a gentleman, he said he read the reports that were defaming Shen Yun. I replied, “You might have been misled.” He said, “Why don’t you show me your brochure?”

An elderly lady also repeated some of the lies that she read in those reports. Apparently, she believed what was written because she was very angry. It was obvious that she wasn’t a bad person—she was just deceived by those reports. I said, “You could have been misled. What’s written in the articles isn’t true.” She said angrily, “How can you say that an article published by a major media isn’t true?”

I replied, “Please learn the truth.” I began talking to the people standing near her. She just stood there quietly and listened, and I felt she was really listening.

There are also good people. I talked to a grandmother and her two granddaughters who were in their 20s. When the grandmother saw the Dafa brochure in my hand, she took the petition and signed it. Her two granddaughters also signed it. The old lady said, “I’ve seen the attack against you from the big media. How can they do that?! I am signing to support you.”

When Falun Dafa is being defamed by the CCP we practitioners cannot stay quiet and do nothing. We need to step out, clarify the truth and save people.
