(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 5 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 7 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] The Case Against Ms. Zhou Chunling Submitted to the Court

1. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] The Case Against Ms. Zhou Chunling Submitted to the Court

Ms. Zhou Chunling was arrested by officers from the Hulan District Police Department and the Renli Street Police Station on November 9, 2023 and was sent to the No. 2 Detention Center of Harbin City. She was placed under official arrest on November 17, 2023. Her case was submitted to the Daowai District Court by Shao Mengnan from the Daowai District Procuratorate on December 25, 2023. Ms. Zhou’s lawyer learned from Judge Mi Shimo on February 7, 2024 that she might be sentenced to three years or more in prison.

2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Shi Wenzhuo Sentenced to Six Years in Prison

Mr. Shi Wenzhou, 59, was arrested in March 2023 and was tried twice. He was sentenced to six years in prison in mid-December 2023. He appealed and his case was filed in the intermediate court on February 6, 2024.

3. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Yan Shanwei Transferred to Prison

Mr. Yan Shanwei from Jinpu New District was sentenced to five years in prison on January 3, 2024. He was transferred to the Dalian City Prison on January 25, 2024. His family tried to visit him on February 8, 2024 but were not allowed to because the guards said that Mr. Yan refused to renounce Falun Gong and refused to listen to brainwashing programs.

4. [Mishan City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Ying’s Home Ransacked

Multiple officers from the Farm 857 Police Station went to Ms. Liu Ying’s home on the afternoon of November 8, 2023. They didn’t show any IDs and ransacked her home. They confiscated several Falun Gong books, computer, printer, informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong, paper currency with printed messages about Falun Gong, etc.
