(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 4 cities or counties in 3 provinces, where at least 5 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Lu Yanbo was arrested before Duanwujie (the Dragon Boat Festival) in June 2023 for sharing information about Falun Gong on WeChat, a popular social media platform in China. Her older sister, Ms. Lu Yanling, was arrested with her. Their home was ransacked and they were sent to the Baicheng City Detention Center. Her sister was released 15 days later.
Ms. Lu is now incarcerated in the Jilin Province Women’s Prison. The length of her sentence is unknown. Her family received her sentence notification, which was dated January 17, 2024.
Ms. Gu Li from the Jinpu New District, talked to people about the persecution of Falun Gong on the morning of April 28, 2023. Someone reported her and she was arrested by officers from the Guangming Police Station. Even though she failed the physical examination, she was sent to the Dalian City Detention Center on April 30, 2023. She was given six months’ house arrest and was released on May 9, 2023.
The Pulandian Procuratorate submitted Ms. Gu’s case to the Pulandian Court.
Mr. Lu Lianyi, in his 60s, is a farmer who lives in Dongwa Village, Shandongzhuang Town, Pinggu District. He was arrested by officers from the Nandulehe Police Station on February 6, 2024, for distributing Falun Gong flyers in a market. His home was ransacked. He is being held in the Shunyi Detention Center.
Ms. Wang Gaimei was arrested in Qingxu County by the Qingxu County police on December 6 or 7, 2023. The prosecutor issued her arrest warrant on January 2, 2024. She is being held in the Taiyuan City No. 4 (Women’s) Detention Center.
