(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 5 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 6 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Shouguang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Li Jinzhong Sentenced
2. [Chongzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhang Yilin Detained
3. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Ai Xiang and Jin Wei Arrested
4. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Shumei Arrested
5. [Beijing] Ms. Wang Ruifang Arrested
1. [Shouguang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Li Jinzhong Sentenced
Mr. Li Jinzhong was arrested by officers from the Daotian Police Station in March, 2023. His home was ransacked. He was recently sentenced to four years in prison and sent to the Jinan Prison.
2. [Chongzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhang Yilin Detained
Ms. Zhang Yilin, 61, lived in Chongyang Town. She was arrested by officer Lei Chizhong and others from the Longxing Town Police Station in 2023 for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong in Longxing Town. She is being held in the Wenqu Detention Center in Chengdu City. The police told her son that she would be indicted.
3. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Ai Xiang and Jin Wei Arrested
Zanhuang County practitioners, Ms. Ai Xiang and Jin Wei (genders unknown), were arrested in Wangjiadong Village, Xinguo Township on February 18, 2024, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Their homes were ransacked. They were released.
4. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Shumei Arrested
Ms. Wang Shumei distributed Falun Gong flyers in the street on the afternoon of February 20, 2024. Someone reported her and she was arrested by officers from the Guangming Police Station. The police ransacked her home, but did not find what they were looking for. She was released that night.
5. [Beijing] Ms. Wang Ruifang Arrested
Ms. Wang Ruifang was arrested at her home by officers from the Chengguan Police Station in the Miyun District on the morning of January 26, 2024. The police seized two copies of Zhuan Falun and a picture of the founder of Falun Gong. She was released after she was interrogated for more than five hours in the police station.
