(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 19 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

8. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Mr. Li Shigang Arrested and Detained
9. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Jiao Linhui Sentenced to Two Years in Prison

1. [Liaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Wang Hao Sentenced to Four Years in Prison

Wang Hao (gender unknown) from Zhangtaizi Village, Zhangtaizi Town of Dengta City was arrested and taken to the Liaoyang City Detention Center on July 21, 2023. After being held for six months, Wang was sentenced to four years in prison. Wang developed serious illness symptoms and was hospitalized. After the hospital issued a life in danger notice, Wang was allowed to go home.

The police went to Wang’s home on February 25, 2024, intending to take Wang back to prison. However, Wang was still in critical condition and their attempt failed.

2. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Yang Yong Faces Trial

Mr. Yang Yong will be tried in the Tianqiao District Court at 9 a.m. on March 28, 2024. The judge in charge is Lu Zhaoke.

3. [Changtu County, Liaoning Province] Nine Practitioners Face Trial

Nine practitioners will be tried in the Changtu County Court at 10 a.m. on March 25, 2024. They are Zhao Chunlin, Shi Guimin, Mr. Liu Zhiyong, Mr. Zhao Hongjie, Ms. Meng Guilan, Mr. Sun Wanliang, Mr. Wang Huafeng, Tian Wei, and Geng Ming.

4. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Tian Liping Arrested and Detained

Ms. Tian Liping from Heping District was arrested at home by twelve officers from the Heping District Police Department and the Changbai Police Station on March 11, 2024. Her home was ransacked and her computer and printer were confiscated. Ms. Tian is currently held in the Zaoxing Detention Center.

5. [Fuxin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Cuiyu Arrested

Ms. Li Cuiyu was arrested by officers from the Qinghe Police Station at around 10 p.m. on March 20, 2024.

6. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Gao Yaping and Ms. Zhou Fenglan Arrested and Detained

Ms. Gao Yaping and Ms. Zhou Fenglan from Huishan Subdistrict of Shenbei New District were arrested by officers from the Huishan Police Station when they were talking to people about Falun Gong on March 20, 2024. The two practitioners were taken to a detention facility.

7. [Luanzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Yanling Arrested

Ms. Zhang Yanling was arrested at home by officers from the Youzha Police Station at noon on February 29, 2024. Her home was ransacked. The police confiscated a printer, a computer, USB drives and several books. Ms. Zhang was released later that day.

8. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Mr. Li Shigang Arrested and Detained

Mr. Li Shigang was arrested at a practitioner’s home in Wanchang Town of Yongji County on March 13, 2024. The police confiscated his computer, several USB drives, satellite receivers, and some cash. Mr. Li was taken to a detention house, but was denied admission due to his high blood pressure. He returned home, but was taken away on March 21, 2024. He was placed under 15-day detention and is currently held in the Jilin City Detention House.

9. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Jiao Linhui Sentenced to Two Years in Prison

Jiao Linhui (gender unknown) from Dagang District of Tianjin was arrested at Longkou City of Shandong Province on May 9, 2023. He or she was sentenced to two years in prison and fined 10,000 yuan.
