(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 14 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

2. [Chengde City, Hebei Province] Six Practitioners Appeal

5. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhao Huijun Arrested and Detained
6. [Suizhong County, Liaoning Province] Mr. Yang Jiangwei Arrested and Detained
7. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Dongmei Arrested and Detained
8. [Sanhe City, Hebei Province] Liu Kun Arrested and Detained
9. [Fugu County, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Zhou Qin Detained

1. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Jian Persecuted

Mr. Wang Jian was arrested on February 23, 2024. He went on a hunger strike during his detention and was taken to an ICU in a hospital.

2. [Chengde City, Hebei Province] Six Practitioners Appeal

Six practitioners including Ms. Li Guifang, 61, Ms. Yu Suhua, and Ms. Liu Jingchun, appealed after they were sentenced by the Shuangqiao District Court. The case against Ms. Liu Guifang was filed in the Chengde City Intermediate Court. The judge in charge is Meng Zhaopeng.

3. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Guixia Sentenced to Prison

It was learned in early April 2024 that Ms. Wang Guixia was sentenced to one year and three months in prison by the Linghai City Court.

4. [Fugu County, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Bai Hairong Faces Trial

Ms. Bai Hairong was arrested on August 21, 2023, and was sent to the Shenmu City Detention Center. She will be tried in court on April 21, 2024.

5. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhao Huijun Arrested and Detained

Ms. Zhao Huijun, 60, was reported to police for talking about Falun Gong to people on the street and was arrested by officers from the Gaoyu Police Station on April 11, 2024. The police ransacked her home and confiscated her computer and other personal belongings. Ms. Zhao is currently held in the Benxi City Detention Center.

6. [Suizhong County, Liaoning Province] Mr. Yang Jiangwei Arrested and Detained

Mr. Yang Jiangwei was arrested at home on April 19, 2024, for posting stickers. His home was ransacked and a plastic bag containing informational materials about Falun Gong was confiscated. Mr. Yang was sent to the Suizhong County Detention Center.

7. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Dongmei Arrested and Detained

Ms. Wang Dongmei was arrested at her home by officers from the Dongsheng Road Police Station on the morning of April 19, 2024. She has been detained.

8. [Sanhe City, Hebei Province] Practitioner Liu Kun Arrested and Detained

Liu Kun from Yanjiao Town was arrested by officers from the Huangzhuang Town Police Station on April 10, 2024. The police ransacked Liu’s home and confiscated some truth clarifying materials. Liu was placed under 15-day detention and was sent to the Sanhe City Detention Center.
