(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners held a group exercise and raised awareness of the persecution on Pegasus Plaza to mark the 25th anniversary of the April 25 appeal on April 25, 2024. They set up display boards and banners, and told people about the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution.
Twenty-five years ago on this day, over 10,000 practitioners of Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) went to the Petition Office of the State Council in Beijing to request the release of 45 practitioners who had been arrested by the Tianjin authorities. They also requested to be granted a legal cultivation environment. The entire petition process was peaceful and rational, with no slogans, no violence, and no impact on passers-by or traffic. When the problem was resolved, the practitioners kept their surroundings clean and left quietly.

Pegasus Plaza is located in downtown Dallas, adjacent to the AT&T headquarters building. There are also many company headquarters in nearby high-rise buildings. This is where many staff go to eat out and relax.
At noon on that day, practitioners demonstrated the five sets of exercises on the steps of the square. The calm and peaceful scene and the melodious music drew the attention of people passing by.
Practitioner Ms. Yang said that Falun Gong practitioners had held many truth-clarification activities in the city center, and people had seen the peace and rationality of Falun Gong.
A police officer from the Dallas Police Department said, “I have a very good impression of the Falun Gong group, and I have read all the materials they sent me. We support Falun Gong in holding activities protesting the persecution here.”
Talking about Falun Dafa and the CCP’s persecution
After listening to the practitioner’s introduction, Bryan, a middle-aged man, said that he was interested in cultivating in Falun Gong and wanted to know if there were any practice sites near Plano, where he lived. He was very happy after being provided information about the practice sites and classes in Plano. Later, he went to see the group practice.
Louis from Denmark and his family of four came across Falun Gong by chance. The couple and their two children carefully read the banners exposing the CCP’s persecution. They looked surprised and indignant. Louis said, “I knew that the Chinese Communist Party persecutes human rights, but I didn’t expect it to be so cruel. It is simply unbelievable and even more difficult to accept.” The Louis family took some information and said that they would continue to learn more after returning.
