(Minghui.org) I was born in 1924 and will be 100 years old later this year. Because of my belief in Falun Dafa, Master Li blessed me with great health. I became a Falun Dafa practitioner in 1997, and since that time I have not needed eyeglasses for reading, nor have I taken any medicine. I am able to take care of myself quite well. At one point I also cared for my youngest daughter, who was paralyzed as a result of the persecution. Until last year, I walked to the market every day to shop for groceries. People who know me say that I look like I am in my 70s.
My elder daughter practiced Falun Dafa before I did. One day I hurt my back, and she told me to sincerely recite “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance is good.” I did this and right afterward, I was able to straighten up my back as if nothing had ever happened. I remember thinking, “This is unbelievable! My daughter should definitely continue with this practice!” Later I became a practitioner when I was 73, and for a long time I studied the teachings and exercised with my daughter every day. In the past 27 years, I have been healthy, thanks to Master’s immense grace.
Two years after I began the practice, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) launched the persecution of Falun Dafa in July 1999. My daughter and I went out to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa to those who were deceived by the CCP’s propaganda slandering the practice. One day I was arrested while handing out fliers and taken to the police station. The officer later released me and ordered me not to practice Falun Dafa in public.
A few years later my younger daughter, who was now also practicing Falun Dafa, and a fellow practitioner were arrested on a bus and later sentenced to prison. Her fellow practitioner went on a hunger strike and was force fed. The feeding tube was improperly inserted, and instead of going into her stomach, penetrated her lung and killed her immediately. My daughter was tied to a chair and shocked by electric batons until she passed out. None of my family members were informed about my daughter’s arrest and imprisonment. I hired an attorney, and it took him six months to find which prison she was incarcerated in. By that time she had already been paralyzed and lost her eyesight due to intensive electric shocks.
After I took her home, she couldn’t take care of herself. I studied the Dafa teachings with her every day. Six months later she could slowly stand up, but she still could not see well. We continued to study the teachings, and she completely recovered a year later. We are grateful to the practitioners who helped her in the prison, and thank Master for saving her life.
I offered my home so that practitioners could get together and learn how to use computers for truth clarification work. I cooked for them and provided office supplies for their work. When I was 85, a practitioner taught me how to use computers. I learned quickly and had no problem reading on the small screen. When one of the machines broke, I asked Master for help, and it worked right away. I continued doing this project until I was 96.
At age 92, I became very ill one day. With strong faith in Master, I recovered in 20 days. Four years ago I moved in with my youngest daughter, who didn’t want me to live alone. Still now I study the teachings and exercise every day, and I am determined to follow Master home.
