(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 8 provinces, where at least 19 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Sentenced to Prison
Ms. Yu Guichun, Ms. Li Yongmei and Ms. Zhang Yujin have been detained in the No. 1 Detention Center of Shenyang City. Ms. Yu Guichun was sentenced to eight years in prison and fined 50,000 yuan; Ms. Li Yongmei was sentenced to five years and fined 30,000 yuan; Ms. Zhang Yujin was sentenced to four and a half years and fined 25,000 yuan. They all appealed, but the Shenyang Intermediate Court upheld the original verdicts.
2. [Anlu City, Hubei Province] Mr. Zhou Binsheng Arrested and Detained
Mr. Zhou Binsheng, a rural doctor, was arrested by two officers from the Chendian Township Police Station on June 5, 2024. He was sent to the Anlu City Detention Center.
3. [Guangshan County, Henan Province] Mr. Li Jiazhi Detained
Mr. Li Jiazhi, in his 50s, was arrested during last Chinese New Year and sent to the Guangshan County Detention Center.
4. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Borong Arrested and Detained
Ms. Li Borong, 77, was arrested at home at 10 a.m. on June 5, 2024. His home was ransacked. Ms. Li is being held in the Shulan City Detention Center.
5. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] The Case Against Mr. Sun Chengfu Submitted to the Procuratorate
The case against Mr. Sun Chengfu has been submitted to the Procuratorate.
6. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Jinhua and Mr. Zhu Yujun Arrested
Ms. Zhang Jinhua from Shulan City was arrested on the afternoon of June 3, 2024 and is being held in the Jilin City Detention Center.
Mr. Zhu Yujun, a former Shulan City prosecutor, was recently arrested. Mr. Zhu was fired from his job because he practices Falun Gong. He is the owner of a duck neck shop.
7. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested or Harassed
Zhang Tielai from Guye District was arrested by officers from the Nanfan Police Station on the morning of June 6, 2024.
Ms. Wang Cuilan and Mr. Zhang Wenxin were harassed at their homes by officers from the Nanfan Police Station in Guye District on the afternoon of June 2, 2024. They were warned not to go out.
8. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Guangjuan Arrested
Ms. Liu Guangjuan was arrested by officers from the Wanlong Township Police Station when she talked to people about Falun Gong in Wanlong Village of Wanlong Township at 8 a.m. on June 3, 2024. Her home was ransacked and many items, including her Falun Gong books, were confiscated.
9. [Guanghan City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Wu Tiancong Arrested and Detained
Mr. Wu Tiancong from Xiangyang Town was arrested for putting up stickers. He was placed under 15-day detention and fined 1,000 yuan. He was sent to the Guanghan City Detention Center.
10. [Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Wang Xiuying Harassed
Ms. Wang Xiuying was harassed at home on May 14, 2024 by Officer Si Guangtao from the Shapo Police Station and Officer Li Wei from the Changle West Road Police Station. Her home was ransacked.
Ms. Wang was harassed at home again on May 31, 2024 by Officer Si Guangtao, officers from the Peilin Police Department and the community staff members of Xi’an Transportation University.
11. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Liu Jingfan Arrested
Ms. Liu Jingfan was arrested when she walked out of her home on the morning of June 5, 2024.
12. [Beijing] Ms. Wang Zhiqiao Arrested and Detained
Several officers from the Qiliqu Police Station went to Ms. Wang Zhiqiao’s home in Shahe Town, Changping District at 1:30 p.m. on April 2, 2024. They ransacked her home but didn’t find anything they were looking for. Ms. Wang was not at home at that time. The police returned twice, at 8:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. Ms. Wang did not open the door for them.
The two officers returned to Ms. Wang’s home the next day. They tried to videotape her, but she refused to cooperate. They called more officers from the Qiliqu Police Station. Ms. Wang was arrested and accused of “disrupting the social order.” She was detained for 10 days in the Haidian District Detention Center.
13. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Xiuying Arrested
Ms. Zhang Xiuying was arrested at home by officers from the Xinhua Police Station on the morning of June 6, 2024. Her home was ransacked, and her Falun Gong books were confiscated. Ms. Zhang was taken to the police station.
14. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Shuhua’s Home Ransacked
The home of Ms. Wang Shuhua in Chaoyang Township of Shuangcheng District was ransacked on May 30, 2024. Her computer and other personal belongings were confiscated. Ms. Wang was at work and not at home at that time.
