(Minghui.org) When I was in my 50s, I developed a hunchback. I thought it was caused by a bone mass decrease due to the side effects of the medications I used to take. But most of my ailments had disappeared after taking up Falun Dafa, so I wondered why my hunchback didn’t go away. It remained the same for the next two-plus decades.

My children often reminded me to straighten my back. And I worried that my hunchback would affect the results of my clarifying the facts of Falun Dafa to people, especially when I told them about Dafa’s health benefits.

I recently realized that I had a strong attachment to my hunchback. While I often encouraged others to let go of their attachments, I didn’t work on my own. I told myself, “I have to have faith in Dafa and let Master decide everything for me.” I stopped thinking about my hunchback or looking at myself in the mirror.

After a while, I suddenly realized that my children had stopped reminding me to straighten my back, so I asked them why. Only when they pointed out that my back was already straight did I realize it was indeed the case—I was standing up straight! It was my own attachment that had gotten in the way.
