(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 9 provinces, where at least 14 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Mr. Su Miao, in his 40s, lives in Shazikou, Laoshan District. He was arrested at home on February 7, 2023. His case was submitted to the Jining City Zoucheng Court.
Ms. Gao Yanjun was arrested by Tahe County Domestic Security Division officers on June 18, 2024, for reporting police who harassed practitioners on Minghui.org.
Ms. Zhu Xixia was arrested and sent to the Daye Detention Center on the morning of May 22, 2024. The police broke her door and ransacked her home the next day. She was transferred to the Huangshi Detention Center on June 6, 2024.
Ms. Ma Guizhen was arrested, handcuffed, and pushed into a police car by officers Liang Jing, Jiang Dong, and Jiang Xudong from the Dongfanghong Domestic Security Division. The police confiscated her Falun Gong books.
Ms. Zhuang Songling was arrested at home on June 15, 2024.
Ms. Zhao Hong’e, Ms. Zhang Shujie, and Ms. Yu Hua talked to people about the persecution of Falun Gong in Maokuishan area on the morning of May 22, 2024. Someone reported them. Maokuishan Police Station officers arrested them, took them to the police station, and then to the Xicheng Police Station.
The police took Ms. Yu to her home around 9 p.m., ransacked the place, and seized Falun Gong books, a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, and other items.
The practitioners were put into a detention center at 3:00 a.m. on May 23. After they were detained for 15 days, on June 7, Xicheng Police Station officers took them to the police station and interrogated them. Ms. Yu was released around 5:00 p.m. Ms. Zhao and Ms. Zhang were sent to a detention house.
Ms. Wei Suwen, 64, was arrested at her home by officers from the Xicheng Police Department and the Xichanganjie Police Station. Her home was ransacked. She was detained for 10 days.
Ms. Xu Shufang of Xushui District talked to three primary school students in her village about the persecution of Falun Gong on April 20, 2024. Someone videotaped her and reported her to the police. She was arrested on April 22. Justice Office agents and township police station officers ransacked her home, and took her computer, printers, and Falun Gong books. She was detained for 13 days.
Ms. Wang Huayu was arrested by officers from the Shuicheng Police Station and the Yangliu Police Station on May 22, 2024. They dragged her into a van. Her sleeve was pulled off and her purse strap was broken.
Officers searched her purse and took pictures of her in the Shuicheng Police Station. She was sent to the Qixian Detention Center and was released after she was detained for 15 days.
Ms. Xie Limin was arrested and taken to the Nancheng Police Station on June 5, 2024. Her home was ransacked. She was sent to the Jilin City Detention Center on June 6.
Her family and her attorney went to the detention center on the morning of June 18. Guards claimed that the attorney had to register with both the Jilin City Justice Bureau and the Justice Bureau where the attorney’s office was located before they could visit her. Her attorney went to the Jilin City Justice Bureau which denied the registration request citing there was no such law. Her attorney and family were not able to meet her.
Wang, gender unknown, is not a Guangzhou local resident. Wang was arrested by three officers from a police station in Tianhe District on April 23, 2024. They ransacked Wang’s home, seized a copy of Zhuan Falun, and held Wang for two days in the police station. Wang did not cooperate with officers who tried to collect his or her information, and was sent to a detention center for nine days.
Ms. Wang Duanxiu, in her 70s, was arrested at her home by Wanzai County patrol officers on the afternoon of June 18, 2024. The officers ransacked her place, took her Falun Gong books and memory cards, and took her to the police department. Police photographed her, collected her fingerprints, and questioned her. They let her go after 10:00 p.m.
