(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 12 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yu Guichun and Two Other Practitioners Sentenced
2. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Mr. Chen Deguang Sentenced
3. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Ai Kexiu Detained
4. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Lu Zongqin Arrested
5. [Huili City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Luo Jiping and Three Others Detained
6. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liang Fengxiu Arrested
7. [Xianning City, Hubei Province] Ms. He Guihong Arrested
1. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yu Guichun and Two Other Practitioners Sentenced
Ms. Yu Guichun, 72, Ms. Li Yongmei, 52, and Ms. Zhang Yujin, 80, were tried by the Dadong District Court on February 28, 2024. On March 27, 2024 the court sentenced Ms. Yu to eight years in prison and fined her 50,000 yuan, Ms. Li was sentenced to five years and fined 30,000 yuan, and Ms. Zhang was sentenced to four-and-a-half-years and fined 25,000 yuan.
All three practitioners appealed to the Shenyang Intermediate Court. They are being held in the Shenyang City No. 1 Detention Center.
2. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Mr. Chen Deguang Sentenced
Mr. Chen Deguang of Honggu District was tried in the Chengguan District Court at 10:00 a.m. on January 25, 2024. He was sentenced to three-years-and-eight-months in prison in early April 2024.
3. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Ai Kexiu Detained
Ms. Ai Kexiu of Sanwang Village, Mengyang Town was arrested at home on May 16, 2024. She is being held in Lichun Town.
4. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Lu Zongqin Arrested
Ms. Lu Zongqin was arrested on May 10, 2024.
5. [Huili City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Luo Jiping and Three Others Detained
Ms. Luo Jiping, Mr. Zhao Guowei, Ma Xinli (gender unknown), and Ms. Ma Lingxian were arrested by Huili City Domestic Security Division officers on the evening of May 18, 2024. Their homes were ransacked. They were sent to a detention center that night.
6. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liang Fengxiu Arrested
Ms. Liang Fengxiu of Xinhua District was arrested at home by officers from the Xiyuan Police Station on the morning of April 8, 2024. Her home was ransacked. She was released on bail that night.
7. [Xianning City, Hubei Province] Ms. He Guihong Arrested
Ms. He Guihong was arrested at her sister’s home by several plainclothes officers on April 23, 2024. They handcuffed her, seized the key to her electric car, ransacked her home, confiscated her notebook computer, Falun Gong books, and 9,000 yuan in cash.
