(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 12 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Xiurong Indicted and Facing Trial
2. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhao Hong’e and Ms. Zhang Shujie Officially Arrested
3. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Liu Linfeng Arrested
4. [Weining County, Guizhou Province] Ms. Xu Yanfei and Ms. Luo Yufen Detained
5. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Dai Xiaoping Arrested
6. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Tian Lingqiao Arrested
7. [Mishan City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Yin Qiuzhen Held in Custody
8. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] 91-Year-Old Ms. Jiang Zhaoqin’s Home Ransacked
9. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Li Hongwei Arrested
10. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhu Yamei’s Case Transferred to Judicial Office
1. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Xiurong Indicted and Facing Trial
Ms. Wang Xiurong was arrested and released on bail in 2023. She was indicted by the Pingdu City Procuratorate in June 2024 and her case was submitted to the Pingdu City Court.
2. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhao Hong’e and Ms. Zhang Shujie Officially Arrested
Ms. Zhao Hong’e and Ms. Zhang Shujie were officially arrested on June 25, 2024.
3. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Liu Linfeng Arrested
Practitioner Liu Linfeng was arrested and taken to Weihai City Detention Center by officers from Weihai Economic and Technological Development Zone Police Department on June 25, 2024.
4. [Weining County, Guizhou Province] Ms. Xu Yanfei and Ms. Luo Yufen Detained
Ms. Xu Yanfei was reported to the police for raising awareness about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was followed and arrested by a dozen officers from Weining County Police Department and the Liuqiao Police Station on April 24, 2024. Her home was ransacked. She was taken to Weining County Lockup for 15 days.
On May 29, Ms. Luo Yufen were arrested by officers of the Weining County Police Department, the Liuqiao Police Station, Weining County Political and Legal Affairs Committee, and community management office. She was taken to the Weining County Detention Center and held for 15 days.
5. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Dai Xiaoping Arrested
Ms. Dai Xiaoping was reported to the police for talking to people about Falun Gong in early May 2024. Xinhua Road Police Station officers went to her mother’s home where she was temporarily staying to arrest her. They ransacked the place, and confiscated several Falun Gong books, printed materials, and amulets. They took her for a physical exam and held her in the Weifang City Detention Center for 13 days before releasing her.
6. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Tian Lingqiao Arrested
Ms. Tian Lingqiao and her son from Liushuangying Village, Xinji Town, were arrested by Xinji City Police Department officers on June 26, 2024. Her son, who has a mental disorder, was released that afternoon.
7. [Mishan City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Yin Qiuzhen Held in Custody
Ms. Yin Qiuzhen was arrested and detained by officers from Jidong County Domestic Security Division on May 6, 2024. Her savings of 540,000 yuan were confiscated from her home.
8. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] 91-Year-Old Ms. Jiang Zhaoqin’s Home Ransacked
In mid-April 2024, five people from Jilin Province Public Security Department, Changchun City Police Department, and Changchun City Domestic Security Division broke into 91-year-old Ms. Jiang Zhaoqin’s home. They ransacked the place and confiscated Falun Gong books. They also placed the books and portrait of Falun Gong’s founder on the ground and ordered her and her family to step on them, threatening to suspend Ms. Jiang’s pension if they didn’t comply.
9. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Li Hongwei Arrested
Mr. Li Hongwei from the Shenhe District was arrested by officers from the Xiaojinqiao Police Station on June 26, 2024. His computer was confiscated.
10. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhu Yamei’s Case Transferred to Judicial Office
Ms. Zhu Yamei was arrested on May 2, 2024. The police accused her of distributing informational materials about Falun Gong. Her case was recently transferred from the Caihong Police Station to the Judicial Office of Qixingpao Farm of Jiusan Agricultural Reclamation Bureau in Heilongjiang Province.
