Additional Persecution News from China – June 24, 2024 (4 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 4 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 10 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Six Practitioners Arrested and Detained
2. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Kong Qingping Sentenced to Seven Years in Prison
3. [Nancheng County, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Yao Aiying Arrested
4. [Guan County, Shandong Province] Mr. Chen Tingxiang Arrested and Detained

1. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Six Practitioners Arrested and Detained

Six practitioners were arrested by police in Dongguang County on June 19, 2024. They are Ms. Zhang Wenping, Ms. Cheng Guijun, Ms. Song Guifen, Mr. Men Bingcheng, Yu Yongli from Yuji Township, Ms. Li Zhenying from Matou Town of Fucheng County. The six practitioners are held in the Dezhou City Detention Center.

2. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Kong Qingping Sentenced to Seven Years in Prison

Ms. Kong Qingping was sentenced to seven years in prison and fined 30,000 yuan by the Ganjinzi District Court. She appealed to the Dalian City Intermediate Court, but the verdict was upheld. Her lawyer appealed again on April 10, 2024.

A hearing was held in the Dalian City Intermediate Court at 10 a.m. on May 22, 2024. Ms. Kong’s lawyer, her family members and a witness Hu Ruilin were present. But the witness was not allowed to testify in court. The lawyer received the retrial rejection from the court on June 2, 2024.

Ms. Long’s lawyer submitted an appeal with the Liaoning Provincial High People’s Court on June 19, 2024.

Ms. Long has been transferred to No. 12 Ward of the No.1 Women’s Prison of Liaoning Province.

3. [Nancheng County, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Yao Aiying Arrested

Ms. Yao Aiying from Nancheng County was arrested at the Nanchang Railway Station around June 9, 2024.

4. [Guan County, Shandong Province] Mr. Chen Tingxiang Arrested and Detained

Mr. Chen Tingxiang from Qingshui Township was arrested by officers from the Qingshui Township Police Station on May 6, 2024. He was detained for 7 days and was released on May 13.
