(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 30 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] The Case Against Mr. Wang Jian Submitted to the Court
Mr. Wang Jian was arrested on February 23, 2024, and was detained in a detention center. He held a hunger strike to protest and was taken to the ICU in the First People’s Hospital of Jinzhou City on March 13, 2024. He stayed in the ICU for over 10 days.
Mr. Wang was taken back to the detention center on May 6, 2024. His case was submitted to the Ganjingzi District Court on July 9, 2024.
2. [Tieling City, Liaoning Province] The Case Against Mr. Wu Bo Submitted to the Procuratorate
Mr. Wu Bo from Changtu County was arrested along with his wife and Ms. Li Hongxin on July 12, 2024. He has been detained in the Changtu County Detention Center. His case was recently submitted to the procuratorate.
3. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yang Meihua Arrested
Ms. Yang Meihua from Chengyang District was reported to police for talking to people about Falun Gong and arrested by officers from the Chengyang District Domestic Security Division on the afternoon of July 18, 2024. She is currently detained at the Liuting Border Police Station.
When Ms. Yang’s daughter and son-in-law tried to transfer her Falun Gong books from her home, the police showed up and stopped them. Her home was ransacked.
4. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Ms. Cai Xin’ou Arrested
Ms. Cai Xin’ou was arrested at home on the afternoon of July 18, 2024.
5. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Wang Hongxiang Arrested
Mr. Wang Hongxiang lives in Fuxing Community, Jiutai District of Changchun City. He was arrested at his farm field at 7 a.m. on July 19, 2024. Two Falun Gong books and some cash were confiscated.
6. [Dongning City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Cui Zhongyan Arrested and Detained
Ms. Cui Zhongyan was reported to the police for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong in her subdivision and arrested by officers from the Guangming Police Station on March 23, 2024. The police ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books, the photo of Falun Gong’s founder, and informational materials. She was released on the same day, only to be tricked into going to the police station five days later on March 28, 2024. She was detained for 15 days and released on April 12, 2024.
7. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Seven Practitioners Arrested
Seven practitioners were arrested at a private home together on July 12, 2024. They are Chen Yan, Cao Ying, Ms. Xu Meiling, Ms. Xu Meiyun, Ms. Xin Shuhua, Ms. Wang Chengzhi, and Ms. Tang Yunxiang. Ms. Xu Meiling was placed under 10-day detention. She was later taken to the hospital due to high blood pressure. Four practitioners, including Ms. Xu Meiling, Ms. Xin, Ms. Wang, and Ms. Tang, were taken to the police station and released later on. The situation of Chen and Cao is unknown.
8. [Qingyuan County, Liaoning Province] 10 Practitioners Arrested and Detained
Ten practitioners were arrested by police in Qingyuan County on July 12, 2024. They are Mr. Wang Nanfang, Mr. Zhou Shuyou, Mr. Wang Zexing, Mr. Liu Haitao, Mr. Li Defa, Ms. Hu Fengju, Ms. Hu Mingli, Ms. Huang Ping, Ms. Li Shuqin, and Ms. Lai Chunlian. The male practitioners are currently detained in the Dashagou Detention Center of Qingyuan County, while female practitioners are detained in the Nangou Detention Center in Fushun City.
The lawyers for Mr. Zhou and Mr. Wang Zexing were rejected by the detention center to visit them.
9. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Jing Changxiu Harassed
Ms. Jing Changxiu from Zhihe Town of Pengzhou City, 73, was reported to police for giving a Falun Gong information card to a man on June 28, 2024. Officers from the Zhihe Town Police Station ransacked her home hours later and confiscated a desk calendar and a small recorder.
10. [Beijing] Ms. Wang Xiuzhen and Mr. Xing Changwang Harassed
Ms. Wang Xiuzhen and Mr. Xing Changwang from Majiabao, Fengtai District, have long been under surveillance by officers from the Majiabao Police Station, Zhenguosi Residential Committee, and Xinghecheng Property Management Office. Two persons were found to follow them around on foot on July 11, 2024.
11. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Xiumin Arrested and Detained
Ms. Zhang Xiumin from Changchun Automobile Factory was arrested at home on July 18, 2024. She is currently detained in the Weizigou Detention Center.
12. [Xingning City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Xie Yujun Arrested and Detained
Mr. Xie Yujun, 46, was arrested by over 20 people including officers from the Xingtian Street Police Station and Xingning City Police Department on April 24, 2024. He has been detained in the Xingning City Detention Center since.
