(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 9 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

3. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Yuhong and Ms. Guo Arrested
4. [Xinyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Yang Yifan Arrested While Returns to China from Canada to Visit Family
5. [Meizhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Zhong Yuanying Harassed Twice
6. [Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Duanhui Sentenced to Prison
7. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Gu Caiqing Detained
8. [Huangmei County, Hubei Province] Ms. Liu Yahua Harassed
1. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Jian Arrested
Mr. Wang Jian from Jiangsu Province often travels to Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, for construction work. Recently, Mr. Wang was arrested in Shijiazhuang City by the local police, who confiscated his computer in his rental home.
2. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Xiufen Whereabouts Unknown
Ms. Zhang Xiufen was arrested by officers from the Qingta Police Station on the morning of August 15, 2024, and was released that afternoon. She lost contact with her family at the end of August. They suspected that she was arrested again and taken into custody.
3. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Yuhong and Ms. Guo Arrested
Ms. Zhang Yuhong and Ms. Guo (first name unknown), from Zichuan District, were reported to the police while talking to people about Falun Gong at Mengshui farmers market in Zhoucun District on August 28, 2024. The two practitioners were arrested by officers from the Wenchanghu Police Station. Their whereabouts are currently unknown.
4. [Xinyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Yang Yifan Arrested While Returns to China from Canada to Visit Family
Ms. Yang Yifan, who studied in Canada, went back to her home in Xinyang City in the summer to visit her family, but was arrested at her grandmother’s home, by members of the 610 Office in Huangchuan County and Xinyang City. Her Chinese passport and other travel documents were confiscated.
The police claimed that she had performed a show on campus in Canada. Her family suspected that she was reported by a secret agent of the Chinese Communist Party.
5. [Meizhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Zhong Yuanying Harassed Twice
Officers from the Baohua Police Station in Meixian District harassed Ms. Zhong Yuanying in mid-August 2024. They forced her to sign statements to admit guilty for practicing Falun Gong. Two officers from the Sanjiao Police Station in Meijiang District harassed her again at home on August 26.
6. [Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Duanhui Sentenced to Prison
Ms. Liu Duanhui was sentenced to one year in prison and taken from Shuangyashan City Detention Center to Heilongjiang Women’s Prison on May 14, 2024. She was held in the eighth division. She was scheduled to be released on September 4, 2024.
7. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Gu Caiqing Detained
Ms. Gu Caiqing from Quyang County is currently detained in the county detention center.
8. [Huangmei County, Hubei Province] Ms. Liu Yahua Harassed
Officers Mei Yu and Li Xiao from Chengguan Police Station harassed Ms. Liu Yahua at home and took pictures of her on the morning of July 16, 2024.
