(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 6 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 21 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

6. [Huadian City, Jilin Province] Ms. Huang Jingru Facing Extended Detention 
7. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Xuchun Harassed
8. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

1. [Ulanhot City, Inner Mongolia] Case Against Four Practitioners Submitted to the Procuratorate

The case against four practitioners was submitted to the procuratorate at the end of November 2024. The practitioners include Ms. Bao Yingchun, 67, Ms. Li Xiuzhi, 71, Ms. Li Yiping, 70, and Ms. Wang Jinhua, 69.

2. [Panshan County, Liaoning Province] Guo Xiantang Arrested and Detained

Guo Xiantang from Gaosheng Town was arrested by officers from the Xintaizi Police Station in Tai’an County when distributing Falun Gong desk calendars in Tai’an County on December 26, 2024. Guo is currently detained in the Sanglinzi Lockup in Tai’an County.

3. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Nine Practitioners Arrested

Nine practitioners were arrested by officers from the Zhengyang Police Station on December 29, 2024. They are Ms. Meng Xianfang and her husband Mr. Xu Jianbo, Ms. Huang Yuru, Ms. Zhang Guizhi, Mr. Yang Fujun, Ms. Yang Fuzhen and her sister Ms. Yang Furong, Mr. He, and Mr. Du Changjiang. 

Ms. Meng and Mr. Xu’s home was ransacked. The couple were denied admission by the lockup due to their high blood pressure and released the next day. The two sisters, Ms. Yang Fuzhen and Ms. Yang Furong, were released the same day they were arrested. Mr. He was detained for seven days. Ms. Huang, Ms. Zhang, Mr. Du and Mr. Yang were detained for an unknown number of days.

4. [Foshan City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Deng Meizhen Released after Serving Four Years and Nine Months

Ms. Deng Meizhen, 78, was arrested by officers from the Zumiao Police Station in March 2020. She was sentenced to four and a half years in prison and fined 8,000 yuan in August 2020. Because her family refused to pay the fine, her term was extended for three months. 

5. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Dong Zhuying Arrested

Ms. Dong Zhuying from Fengnan District was arrested by three officers from the Xugezhuang Police Station on the morning of December 31, 2024, for talking to people about Falun Gong at Xugezhuang Market. She was released in the evening.

6. [Huadian City, Jilin Province] Ms. Huang Jingru Facing Extended Detention 

Ms. Huang Jingru was scheduled to be released on January 6, 2025 after serving a three-year term. According to an insider, the authorities have attempted to extend her term.

7. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Xuchun Harassed

Ms. Wang Xuchun was harassed twice by two officers from the Zhengyang Police Station on December 27 and 28, 2024. They took photos of her against her will.

8. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Three practitioners were arrested on December 29, 2024. Ms. Wang Shifen was taken to the Xianfeng Police Station and Ms. Xu Xiuhui and Mr. Zhao Ximin were taken to the Wukeshu Town Police Station. All three were released later that day.
