(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 15 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Huangmei County, Hubei Province] Ms. Mei Jianfang and Ms. Li Yalan Arrested
2. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Chengmei and Mr. Liu Yingjun Facing Trial
3. [Tieling City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wu Bo Sentenced to One Year in Prison
4. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Mr. Du Bing Arrested
5. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
6. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Cong Wei Sentenced to Four and a Half Years in Prison
7. [Suihua City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Ying Imprisoned
8. [Yichang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Xiang Yan Went Missing for Three Weeks and Counting
9. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Guifang Still Serving Time in Prison
10. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Ms. Pan Hong Arrested
11. [Huaibei City, Anhui Province] Ms. Li Ling Sentenced to One and a Half Years in Prison

1. [Huangmei County, Hubei Province] Ms. Mei Jianfang and Ms. Li Yalan Arrested

Ms. Mei Jianfang and Ms. Li Yalan, from Gaoshidun Village and Erhaozhou Village in Caishan Town, were reported for talking to people about Falun Gong and arrested at the end of December 2024. Ms. Li was released later that day. Ms. Mei is currently detained in the Huangmei County Lockup.

2. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Chengmei and Mr. Liu Yingjun Facing Trial

Ms. Wang Chengmei and Mr. Liu Yingjun were tried by the Ganjingzi District Court on January 9, 2025.

3. [Tieling City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wu Bo Sentenced to One Year in Prison

It was recently learned that Mr. Wu Bo was sentenced to one year in prison and fined 5,000 yuan by the Changtu County Court.

4. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Mr. Du Bing Arrested

Mr. Du Bing was arrested by officers from the Huifeng Police Station in Wanbailin District on December 31, 2024. His home was ransacked.

5. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Three practitioners, including Mr. Xie Hongbin, Ms. Wang Jingping, and Ms. Tao Lijie, were arrested by officers from the Chengxu Police Station on December 18, 2024. Their Falun Gong books and the photo of Falun Gong’s founder were confiscated. They were detained for 15 days and released on January 3, 2025.

6. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Cong Wei Sentenced to Four and a Half Years in Prison

Mr. Cong Wei was sentenced to four and a half years by the Ganjingzi District Court. He appealed with the Dalian City Intermediate Court and the original term was upheld at the end of December 2024.

7. [Suihua City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Ying Imprisoned

Ms. Liu Ying was sentenced to three and a half years in prison. She appealed but the original sentence was upheld by the Suihua City Intermediate Court. She has been taken to the Heilongjiang Province Women’s Prison.

8. [Yichang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Xiang Yan Went Missing for Three Weeks and Counting

Ms. Xiang Yan from Xiling District was arrested last year for distributing information materials about Falun Gong and was released on bail. Her family lost contact with her three weeks ago.

9. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Guifang Still Serving Time in Prison

Ms. Liu Guifang from Xujiazhuang Village of Xinzhuang Town, Gangcheng District, was sentenced to three years in prison in 2022. She is still serving time at the Shandong Province Women’s Prison.

10. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Ms. Pan Hong Arrested

Ms. Pan Hong was arrested on December 29, 2024. She was released on the same day.

11. [Huaibei City, Anhui Province] Ms. Li Ling Sentenced to One and a Half Years in Prison

Ms. Li Ling, 71, was recently sentenced to one and a half years in prison. She was previously arrested in early 2023 for talking to people about Falun Gong. Her home was ransacked. She was released on bail and harassed constantly after that.
