(Minghui.org) A few days ago I saw a discussion in a chat group that is made up of over 300 practitioners in North America. In the discussion, many said that if a former Falun Dafa practitioner and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) agents involved in the recent lawsuit against Shen Yun repented, we should give them a chance. These practitioners said they believe that clarifying the truth to them and changing their minds is validating the Fa’s mighty virtue.

This made me wonder if the practitioners willing to forgive could actually be CCP agents posing as practitioners to protect the evildoers. There have been so many painful lessons like this. The head of the local 610 Office in our area actively participated in the persecution of Falun Dafa. One practitioner proposed sending righteous thoughts and let him have immediate retribution so he’d stop persecuting the practitioners.

Another practitioner disagreed, saying that he was once a king from a cosmic body, and we should treat him with kindness and clarify the truth and save him. The result was that, for the remainder of his term, he sent over 100 practitioners to prisons and forced labor camps. We would not have suffered such tremendous loss had we let him suffer tribulation earlier.

In the article “Letting an Evildoer Meet Retribution Shows God’s Mercy,” the author said, “When an evildoer receives the retribution he deserves, he will realize that it is the result of his evil deeds. Whether he feels fear or repentance, it will prevent him from going further down an evil path, and make him commit fewer crimes and avoid being annihilated in the end. When those who do evil do less evil or no evil at all, or even change from being evil to being good, there will be less persecution and interference for Dafa disciples, and more chances for all sentient beings of being saved.”

A practitioner said in a Minghui article that he never meant it when he said the second half of the mantra (immediate retribution in this lifetime) until recently.

Master told us a story:

“Because he always committed bad deeds and interfered with my teaching of Dafa, I then eliminated him completely.” (Lecture Five, Zhuan Falun)

Practitioners must base their thoughts on Fa rectification and not personal cultivation. We should not let our notions hold us back. If it needs to be done in Fa rectification, we can use our cultivated abilities any time to do so.

Farmers know that in a pile of potatoes, if one is rotten, it must be discarded right away, or it will contaminate the others. The former practitioner sued Master, and the negative effects have misled people, who were all once a king of a cosmic body. We should not ruin a forest to save a tree.

A practitioner’s relative became a practitioner not long ago. She recently went to the United States and heard about the lawsuit on the news. Upon returning to China she told her relative, “You fool, Falun Dafa isn’t what you think it is. In the United States there is a lawsuit happening…” She also spoke ill of Dafa and Master in her chat group. This now former practitioner could conceivably interfere with people’s future.

Master said:

“Shen Yun Performing Arts ran into something like this in Greece: after Shen Yun arrived there they weren’t allowed to enter the theater or perform. Both the government and the theater made the same decision, and they flagrantly breached the contract. The following year, Greece’s entire economy collapsed. Didn’t it? Last year Shen Yun went to Ecuador to perform, but wasn’t permitted to. And they even created trouble for the transportation of our cargo on the way out, which almost affected our shows in the following city. It was terribly evil. Although it was the wicked CCP disrupting things behind the scenes, the decision was nevertheless made by the government. A year later, as you saw, there was a nationwide earthquake there that devastated the country, and so many people perished! And you know there have been other cases like these, right? So why is that?” (“Fa Teaching Given at the 2016 New York Fa Conference,” Collected Fa Teachings, Vol. XIV)

Time has been extended so that people can hear the truth and be saved. If practitioners do not eliminate evil interference, the divine beings will eventually do so. However, in this case, practitioners run the risk of not fulfilling their vows. If people do not want to listen and be saved, in the end, the divine will weed them out.
