Always Remember Our Mission Is to Save People

(Minghui.org) I obtained the Fa in 1997 and have been cultivating in Dafa for 20-plus years. For me, clarifying the truth to save people has become as natural as breathing. I live in Canada but often travel to Europe and the U.S. on business. Wherever I go, I’m able to join the local practitioners in Fa-study and share our cultivation experiences so that we can improve together while accomplishing our historic mission. There are always opportunities to clarify the truth to people in my travels. I will share some of my encounters with you.

Handing Out Shen Yun Flyers in Vienna

Vienna is a famous musical city where operas or concerts are held almost every evening. The Vienna State Opera is an ideal location to hand out Shen Yun promotion flyers. One winter, I was on business in Vienna. After group Fa study with local practitioners one evening, an elderly practitioner asked if anyone would like to go with her to hand out Shen Yun flyers. No one in the group responded to her question, including me. 

I didn’t want to join her because I had been in meetings all day, and after hours of Fa study and sharing in the evening, I felt a bit tired. I had to catch a flight back to Canada the next morning. Seeing that no one offered to go with her, the practitioner said, “If no one wants to join me, I will go by myself.” 

I was very touched by her commitment and felt that I couldn’t ignore her request. She was very happy when I offered to go with her. It was snowing slightly that evening, and both my hands and feet were cold. However, I was delighted because almost every person coming out of the Vienna State Opera took one of our Shen Yun flyers. By the time I got back to my hotel by train after seeing the last person leave the opera house, it was midnight.

The following day, I arrived at the airport on time and boarded the plane. I was surprised to find that my seat was in first class. So, I checked with a flight attendant to see if there had been a mistake because I was supposed to be in business class. She scanned my boarding pass and said, “There is no mistake. Because you often travel with our airline, we upgraded your seat to first class today.”

Even though her reason was at the level of everyday people, I knew in my heart that it was, in fact, a kind encouragement and caring arrangement by Master so that I could rest on the plane and catch up on some sleep. 

A Chinese Restaurant in Paris

Paris is not only a paradise for artists but also for food lovers. When on business in Paris, I try all kinds of delicious food when I am with colleagues, but I often go to Chinese restaurants when on my own so I can talk about Falun Gong (also called Falun Dafa) with the Chinese people who are there. 

Once, on a business trip to Paris, it was already past 2:00 p.m. by the time I checked into a hotel. I noticed a Chinese buffet restaurant nearby, and from the crooked characters on the wall, it didn’t look like a very good one, but I went in anyway. The restaurant was about to close, and there were only a few leftovers in the buffet for me to choose from.

A few female staff were eating together and, after asking their permission, I sat down to eat with them. Even though the food was cold, I enjoyed the meal because I got to talk with the staff about Falun Dafa and the persecution. Also, a number of them agreed to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) organizations. 

A Chinese Restaurant in Florida

I entered a Chinese restaurant near the Florida airport and found that the big TV in the hall was broadcasting CCTV programs from China. I thought we shouldn’t allow CCTV to poison the minds of Chinese people living outside China. So, I called the manager over and said to him, “Many of us Chinese people left China because we dislike the CCP regime. If you show the CCTV programs on your TV, aren’t you driving away your customers?”

“Well, what can we show if not the CCTV programs?” he asked.

“You can watch the programs on NTDTV, which is the largest Chinese TV station outside China that has a great variety of rich content,” I said. 

“But how do we get NTDTV?” he asked. 

I quickly helped switch the TV to Chinese NTDTV, which was showing a cooking program. 

“Look, this program is suitable for your restaurant,” I said to the boss, who had a big smile on his face. 

Clarifying the Truth to a Professor from Beijing University

After an academic conference in Italy, I chose to sit next to a Chinese attendee on the bus back to Rome. From chatting with him, I learned that he is the dean of a faculty at Beijing University, a doctoral supervisor, and a well-known scholar. He was very talkative, and we discussed how the CCP came into being. He also talked about the CCP’s cruelty.

However, when I started talking about Falun Gong, he became quiet and just listened to what I said. I mentioned that a professor at Beijing University was unlawfully arrested for refusing to stop practicing Falun Gong, and his daughter in the U.S. had appealed for his release. “I know her,” he said. Although he remained silent while I talked about Falun Gong, I knew that he understood the facts about the practice. 

A Chinese Student at Charles de Gaulle Airport

When I was waiting at Charles de Gaulle Airport to return to Canada, I saw a Chinese student a few people in front of me in the security check line. It would be difficult to talk with her then, so I decided to catch up with her after we cleared the checkpoint. However, she disappeared in the crowd. 

I regretted not being able to clarify the truth to her, and thought in my heart, Master, if she is a person with affinity to Dafa, please give me a chance to talk with her.

I walked around the waiting areas, back and forth, but didn’t see her anywhere. With regret, I boarded the plane. To my surprise, Master had arranged for her to sit next to me, so I had plenty of time to talk with her. By the time we parted at the Montreal airport, she had learned the truth and quit the CCP organizations. She also read some chapters of Zhuan Falun on her cellphone on the plane.

In the past 20-plus years of cultivation, Master has helped and protected me at all times. To help us succeed in cultivation and in saving sentient beings, Master has made meticulous arrangements for each of us. I’m determined to always remember our historic mission, cultivate myself well, and make good use of every opportunity to save more people who have a predestined relationship with Dafa so that I am worthy of Master’s compassionate and painstaking salvation.
